Eve : The story of my life

EVE p o v: I wonder why they always stare. I walk through the same path every day, and I still get the odd looks and side glances from people around. As I walk quietly and slowly back home, I wave to those whom I often see around, acting like we are friends, and ignore those who seem strange. My name is Eve, and this is the life I know. Just as I make my way home, I feel it, that constant pain in my chest, like it knows what already awaits me! I immediately stop in my tracks, and I don't feel like moving forward. Leaving the house gives me a sense of relief, and going back home from school comes with a constant pain and fear. The people around the marketplace are a constant reminder of where my happiness stops and my friend begins. This is Oakwood, a small werewolf town with the alpha, betas, and omegas. The alpha is the head of Oakwood; he is respected and treated like a king. He protects and handles the affairs of the entire werewolf community. The betas are the warriors and fighters in our town, and the omegas are the servants and healers. We have a small school, a clinic, and the marketplace. My family lives on the outskirts of the town, and I am the first child. I gather my thoughts and continue my walk back home, watching the cool breeze move the leaves around and the birds move and fly freely among the trees. My mind is beginning to relax. I can finally see the roof of our house, and my stomach churns painfully. I move closer to the door, take a few deep breaths, turn the doorknob, and step in. Inside the house is really quiet. That alone intensifies my fear. I walk slowly to the kitchen; there is no one there. I move to the bathroom; it is empty. Then I decide to check upstairs. With every single step I take, my heart feels like it would burst through my chest, and I can hear and feel my blood boil. As I open the bedroom door, a strong and offensive odor hits me! I hold my breath and stand at the entrance, only to see my parents lying down in odd positions. My mom is on the bed, unconscious with a slit wrist and a swollen face, and my dad is beside the wardrobe, covered in blood and not moving. I can't breathe. I feel dizzy. I feel like screaming! Addy(the twin)POV : my big sister hasn't come to pick us yet she was always on time and my twin sister wouldn't stop jumping around the garden .It's getting late and we are still at the school garden waiting for Eve,she is our elder sister and we sometimes call her mum .Susan and I are 8 years old and our big sister Eve is 19 ,we are all werewolves but none of us has met their wolves yet .Eve was supposed to know and hear her wolf and also find her mate but it never happened .On her 18th birthday our parents got into a huge fight that might have caused something to eve' s transformation,but what do I know am only 8. 18 years was the date for every werewolf to hear and know their wolves and also find their mate's hence the reason why sue and I haven't . For as long as I can remember Eve has been the parent we know,our mum and dad lives in thesame house but we only identify them as our roommates . Sometimes mum barely remembers our names or even speak to us and dad always looks like he was seeing us for the first time .Eve taught us everything and anything we needed to know,I sometimes feel like the burden is too much for her but Eve always covers it up with the saying that I am just too smart for my age ' whatever that means !!.right now I feel like I know the reason why eve isn't here yet, I hope it's not what I am thinking ,I hope it has nothing to do with our parents . Eve POV : they were rushed to the packs clinic and they are being tended to by the healer's . I feel exhausted ,I still have to take them to the palace once we are done here .I wish one day all this would end ,the shame and embarrassment they constantly put me and the twin through . speaking of siblings 'addy and Susan ' are still waiting for me at the school garden ,I quickly ran to one of the omega 's and told him I had to run an errand . I practically ran the whole way to the school , luckily it wasn't that far from the clinic and having a werewolf Gene , I was fast . From a distance I could see Addy sitting on the garden bench facing the entrance and Susan was jumping around touching every flower she could find .They looked both relived and happy to see me and they hugged me tight ,Addy was looking like he had so much questions on his mind and Susan looked exhausted from the flower hunting . I took the twins home so they could rest and eat , Addy has a look on his face and I knew I had a lot of questions to answer ,I think he is really smart and that makes it harder for me to hide things from them .How could I tell them that our parents took hard substances and went violent on each other ,how am I suppose to make them still love them as mum and dad .I know they see everything that happens, how long can hide it from them. I hope one day they understand , I hope one day they forgive me.
