Chapter Six

Vanessa's POV

After Zach and Laura went upstairs, Hunter happened to wake up and make the tension in the air even more Awkward.

Hunter lifted his head up and looked around in confusion and he massaged his temple.

"Who's f*****g who?" Hunter questioned as I sighed, trying to hold back a laugh.

Matt couldn't help but let out a loud laugh as Damien chuckled. Blake simply looked red as Laura's cronies simply giggled.

"Don't worry Hunter." I said as he looked at me.

"I'm so dizzy." Hunter said.

"Want to get out of this party?" I asked him.

"Yeah, it's dying anyways." Hunter said as I helped him up.

"I never should've drank that much." Hunter as he held onto my waist.

"Exactly, it's best to stay sober." I said as we both walked out of Damien's house.

"My car is outside, it's the white BMW." Hunter said as he grabbed his keys from his pocket.

"I'll drive." I said as I grabbed his keys.

"B-But it's my car." Hunter stammered.

"Do I look like I want to die?" I queried.

"You do." Hunter said bluntly.

I unlocked the car but before going inside I helped Hunter get inside the car. He sat down on the passenger seat as I secured the seat belt for him.

After closing the door to the passenger seat I made my way towards the drivers seat. I got inside the car and secured the seatbelt.

"Vanessa, I want to eat." Hunter sat as he patted his stomach.

"Honestly Hunter where can we go at this time, it's twelve o'clock in the midnight." I said as Hunter frowned.

"I want Ice-cream." Hunter stated.

"But is there a Ice-cream parlour open at twelve o'clock in the midnight?" I asked the boy.

"There is, it's on milberg lane." Hunter advised me.

"Fine Hunter, I'll get you some Ice-cream." I said as I turned the engine on.

"Vanessa, your shoulder was really comfortable if I say so myself." Hunter babbled.

I kept my eyes on the road as I responded to Hunter, "Were you that drunk that you fell asleep?" I asked him.

"No, I'm always falling asleep; you should see me in English literature, I'm always falling asleep." Hunter said as he yawned.

"How the hell did you fall asleep in a party, a loud party." I said shocked.

"It just takes a comfortable position and then I'll fall asleep." Hunter grinned as I pulled up to the Ice-cream parlour.

How is it open? Do people actually go to a Ice-cream parlour at 12am?

Hunter struggled to take his seat belt off as I chuckled.

I detached his seat belt as he sighed in relief.

"Finally, I felt like my stomach was going to fall off." Hunter said as he opened the door.

"Honestly Hunter, I have no words." I said as I took off my seat belt.

I got out of the car and went towards the passenger seat and tried to help Hunter out.

"Nope I got this." He said as he stood up straight.

"How? You were drunk as hell?" I said confused.

"I did fall asleep, it's the hangover that's getting to me." Hunter said as he touched his temple.

As we walked into the clearly empty Ice-cream parlour Hunter looked at all sorts of toppings he could get.

"Hello, and welcome to Suzan's Ice-cream parlour; what would you like?" The lady said perkily.

How can one be so happy at 12am?

"I want the chocolate chip Ice-cream with chocolate syrup and vanilla syrup with some sprinkles and some Oreos on top." Hunter said all at once.

"Sure, what about you Hun?" She looked at me.

"I want a plain Vanilla Ice-cream." I said as Hunter looked at me.

"All the options and you go for a plain Vanilla Ice-cream?" Hunter gave me a pointed look.

"I'm not craving anything." I said as the lady handed Hunter his Ice-cream. She then turned to me and handed my Ice-cream.

"That would be 3 dollars." The lady said as I grabbed my money from my purse.

Hunter slapped my hand away and gave the lady a $20 note.

"Keep the change." Hunter said as he dragged me out of the Ice-cream parlour.

"Hunter I could've paid." I said as he licked his Ice-cream in delight.

"Nope, never make a lady pay." Hunter said as he took a bite of the mini Oreo.

"Really." I said as we both took a seat on the bench outside.

That's when I heard a splat.

"Noooooooooooo!" Hunter said as he looked at his Ice-cream on the floor.

"Oh my gosh." I said trying to hold my laugh back.

"Life doesn't like me, I hate my life; it was such a nice Ice-cream and it had to kill itself." Hunter rambled.

"First of all, the Ice-cream isn't alive for you to be saying that, and you can have mine; I wasn't really craving it." I handed him my Ice-cream.

"You're the best." Hunter said as he munched the remaining of my Ice-cream.

"So let's go." But then I realised Hunter had Ice-cream around his mouth.

"Hunter there's Ice-cream around your mouth." I said as Hunter frowned.

"I don't have a tissue."

"Wait I do." I grabbed my purse and got some tissues out of it.

I wiped the Ice-cream off his lips as I chuckled.

"You're so messy." I said as he smiled.

"Let's go." He said as we both stood up.

As we entered the car Hunter was so happy.

"Why are you so happy?" I asked him.

"Got Ice-cream of course with my favourite girl friend." He said as he placed his seat belt on.

"Aw thank you Hunter." I said as I started up the car.

"After dropping me home, you can take my car with you." Hunter told me as I nodded my head.

"Vanessa how was the truth or dare game?" Hunter asked me as I remembered the events that occurred a few hours ago.

I didn't expect Zach to go upstairs with Laura, like immediately when they kissed. Is that how it works? You suddenly kiss someone for two minutes and then you had the sudden urge to have s*x?

"It was fine, I picked truth because I couldn't trust Matt with my dare." I said taking a turn.

Matt had that evil glint in his eyes, I couldn't trust him with my dare.

"What was the truth question?" Hunter asked.

"Who's your favourite person, was the question." I said as Hunter nodded his head.

"What did you say?" Hunter questioned.

"I said that you were my favourite person, you're so nice and funny; how can I not say you?" I said as Hunter grinned.

"Gosh you're making me smile so much." Hunter said as he chuckled.

Hunters house was at the end of the road next to my house, I would've walked home but Hunter wanted me to take his car.

I pulled up in his drive way as he took off his seat belt with ease this time.

"I'll pick you up tomorrow." I said as Hunter paused for a second.

"Thank you for the great night Vanessa." He said as he got out of his car.

"Byeee." I shouted.

"See ya chica." He said before unlocking his house door.

I took that as my chance to reverse the car, I then drove towards my house.

After I got out of the car I locked it, I sighed as I unlocked my house door.

I took off my flats and held them in my hands, I had my heels in a plastic bag because I knew I would end up getting tired of wearing heels.

I walked up the stairs and straight into my room, tired as hell I took my two piece dress off. I wore my pyjamas and walked inside my bathroom.

Using the makeup wipes I took off my makeup, I then washed my face, afterwards I brushed my teeth. After doing my night routine I got back to my room.

Tying my hair into a low pony tail I turned off the light.

After getting into my bed, I sent a quick text to Seth saying that I'm home and to my brother; wherever the hell he was.

I honestly was so tired, I yawned as I fell into a deep slumber.
