Chapter 5- Bane

“I couldn't stop thinking about her. She was breathtakingly beautiful. I mean , you should've seen her Tyler. She was exquisite I tell you. “ Tyler laughed and said, “man, my friend, the almighty alpha Bane , has finally found his mate. “ “ I have to see her again Tyler. She's my mate. Mine. I have got to see her.” “ Dude, you should've talked to her yesterday.” “ i know. I blew my chance.” “ Maybe if you go back to that place where you first saw her, she might come back there again.” So I went back there for two consecutive days but no luck. And on the third day I was ready to give up but something held me back and I went. And as I waited I could feel her. Her scent. So sweet. She had a familiar scent to her. But she wasn't a wolf nor was she human I knew. She was different. I couldn't tell exactly but i could sense it. But none of that mattered to me as she entered the room my eyes lit up and i could feel that stupid grin creep up on my face again. This time i walked up to her and asked her if she'd like a drink. She politely agreed. Her voice was as beautiful as I had imagined. Silky. Soft and sweet. We talked for hours until the owner of the restaurant came up to us and told us they were closing. My inner wolf was angry. He'd dared to interrupt me. But one look at Luna and I was calm again. We left the restaurant and as we walked out, i instinctively put my hand at the small of her back. She stiffened. And I withdrew my hand but then she sighed almost as if disappointed, so i put my hand back again. This time, she smiled. And my heart flipped. My inner wolf was screaming to come out and claim her. Make her mine. But i had to calm myself or else I would've scared her. We walked back to our cars. Hers was parked next to mine. And i remember thinking earlier today “what an ugly car” but now that i knew it was her car i thought it was beautiful. I didn't want to part ways yet and so i asked her if she wanted a cup of coffee at my place. I thought she’d decline but to my utter surprise she said yes.. i was ecstatic. The drive back to my house was a quiet one. I could feel this attraction between us and i think she felt it too because she leaned closer and put her head on my shoulder. My inner wolf cried with joy. Her hair smelled of berries and mint. I knew then that, It was going to be my favourite scent.
