Bane of my existence

Chapter 6 -Luna

As we drove to his place I was nervous and excited at the same time. I was happy. For the first time in my life I knew what I really wanted. Bane. I wanted Bane. Without realising I leaned towards him and rested my head on his shoulders. He stiffened but relaxed again. He smelled of musk and sweat and I thought there was no scent sweeter.

After an hour long drive we reached his place and my god was it big. It wasn't just a house. It was a bloody mansion.

As we got out of the car I stopped and stared. His house was huge. Not only did it have a pool but also a huge sprawling lawn with an entire forest in the back. And it looked like he was having a party which our arrival had interrupted. A cute blonde guy walked up to us and said,

“ dude, you were right. She's totally beautiful. “

Bane glared at him almost angrily. He smiled at me.

“Luna meet Tyler, my best friend and a total prick. “

“Oh hey Tyler. Nice to meet you.”

“ The mighty Bane has finally found his match. Since you're here now Luna I'll leave you two to it. Have fun then" he winked at Bane and walked away.

Bane held my hand and leaned close to my ears his warm breath on my skin making it tingle and said

“Welcome to my home Luna"

I shivered.

As we walked inside i could feel everyone staring even as we'd turn our backs. Once inside everything felt quiet. I looked around the house . The inside was even more impressive than the outside. Tall ceilings, white walls filled with expensive art, the foyer leading up to the bedrooms had picture frames all over the walls. Bane led me into his study adjoining his bedroom . He lit the fireplace and sat close to me. I could feel the heat radiating from his body or was it the fire, I couldn't tell. None of us said anything for a while. The silence was unbearable. When i finally decided to break it.

“ Umm so you were having a party?”

“ Yeah . That's how it is everyday.”

“ Your house is huge. Do you live alone?”

He laughed, “ not really. No. The one's you saw partying downstairs. They live here too. But this is my side of the house and they know better than to disturb me.”

Well. I thought that was weird. All those people living in the same house. What was it . A sorority? I shook my head

“oh okay. How long have you lived here?”

“ For about more than 20 years I think. I don't know exactly"

I then proceeded to walk towards the window facing the forests and looked out. There was no moon tonight. The forest looked sinister in the dark. As I gazed into the dark abyss I thought I saw a pair of green eyes stare back. I gasped and took a step back only to find Bane standing behind me.

“ I'm sorry. I just thought I saw something.”

He looked at me intently for a while and then broke into a smile and said “ it must have been a wolf. They come here quite often.”

He then proceeded to draw the curtains. I went and sat near the fireplace. He sat next to me and pulled me close to him. We kissed. Slowly at first and then more intensely. I parted my lips to let his tongue enter. I bit his lips and he bit mine. I could feel jolts of electricity down every inch of my body. My skin tingled at his touch. He grabbed my hair gently and proceeded to kiss my neck. With soft bites in between. I shivered. I had never felt this way before. He lifted me up gently and took me into his bedroom.

He placed me on the bed and proceeded to kiss me. I returned the kiss with equal fervour but then something in the back of my mind told me to stop. I hesitated but he noticed and looked up at me concerned.

“What's the matter Luna? “

“ I'm sorry.. i..i.. this is all happening too fast. I've never done this before..i..i..” i couldn't find the words.

He gave me an understanding look and helped me up. We talked for the rest of the time, before I realised i was way too late and had forgotten to call my mum. She'd be freaking out.

“ I have to go. I'm sorry. I'm late. My mom is going to kill me.”

Bane helped me get my things and we rushed out. He'd already sent someone for my car, and although he insisted he drive me home. I politely declined. As I fumbled for my keys he came up behind me and whispered “You're mine.”

I froze.
