( REVENGE)
CATELYN'S POV
The night has set so deep, the acceptance ritual is over, a few guests have gone while the close relatives stayed back.
Everyone is tired and sleeping. Yet here I'm, surveying the accident building I once called home, beaming with a smile and pain. One hundred and fifty years ago, we had been banished from this town by the great Alpha (Gilbert) from the first family. After building the City to its feet, he conspired with the elders and drove us out. I can still remember that night like it's just yesterday. Forced to flee with nothing but clothes on our backs.
But now I have returned and my plans were already bearing fruit. I have successfully hypoteized Alpha Odin to marry me…he was so desperate to keep his secret safe, now the only obstacle I had lies in the dungeon awaiting death….
I leave the window where I'm standing and with a lightning flash of my eyes, I shove the bookshelf covering the standing wall mirror.
My smile grows wider at the sight of the image that appears in the mirror.
Oh! Here comes the pure and once-admired Luna of nightfall, disheveled in her crumpled clothes. Looking awry and miserable, just one year of being held captive.
“Hello!!! Co-wife.
“Catelyn, you are here,” she says weakly.
“Yes, I'm, are you not happy to see me?”
“End this Catelyn, please kill me, she pleads inaudibly. Heat dripping on her like a rain drop, having been held in a cave covered with a burning furnace with no air for 365 days, she looks powerless, exactly how I want her.
“It doesn't work like that, Lyaana, how do you expect me to rule this Town without your help?”
“take,”
The mirror rippled like a gentle lapping of waves. I kicked a bottle of water towards her, and in the blink of an eye, it's gone.
“What do you need this time Catelyn?”
“Your little friend. “I need to trap your little friend in my child so that her mate can scent her. You better be a good girl and don't try to fight it. Then maybe I can save your little demon from her execution ritual tonight. So, which is it?” Your wolf or your little demon?”
“Don't you dare lay your hands on my child !! she screams, her eyes bulging with fear and anger as they follow my movement.
“I guess it's your Wolf then”
I lit some candles and began to recite some enchantments as I surged out of the other side of the mirror.
She strained against her bonds, her muscles rippling beneath her skin as she flew forward towards me.
The chains I bound her to creaked and groaned, but they held her fast, refusing to yield to her immense strength. She snarled, baring her teeth.
“w***e! I chuckle, that's what they call you in the Town now… just so you know you ain't missing anything outside except being stoned to death.
I reached out to her and began chanting my spell on her.
But her wolf is relentless, her body surging with power as she strains against her restraints. And with a sudden burst of strength, the chains snapped, sending metal links flying in all directions. She sprang to her feet, her eyes blazing with fury as she marched forward.
My fingers waved in different patterns in the air as I summoned my power, unleashing an explosive energy that sent her stumbling back. "You will pay for this," I spat, and continued to chant my spell on her.
She charged again, her claws extending and raking at the air. My eyes flick to them, and for a minute, a glimmer of fear crawled into my soul. Just then, I hear the sound of footsteps approaching.
I rush towards the mirror, desperate to seal it up, and she lunges at me, our claws clash as we become stuck in a vortex of our powers. "Mom?" I hear Sasha's distant call, her voice growing louder as she walks forward to the mirror.
Before she could call out again, Lyanna broke loose from my grip and clawed at her. "Mo...m!" Sasha cried out as her back hit the wall. I rushed to my spell and began chanting and drawing.
Slowly, Lyanna crawled back, her eyes fixed on me with a snarl. “I promise, you will regret this,” I surged back to the mirror and sealed it
I rushed over to Sasha, gathering her into my arms as I examined her injuries. Blood trickled down from her head.
"Isn't she supposed to be weak?" She asked, her voice laced with anger and disappointment.
“You forget she's not just the Luna but also the bearer of a Demon bloodline, it's not going to be an easy task to trap her wolf.
“We don't have much time as I thought. We have to act fast, go wake Julian, let him call his dad, I will talk to the Alpha, let the execution ritual begin.
“Sheila is gone,” She blurted and I feel the thud of my heartbeat echo in my ear
The smell of betrayal and anger invaded my senses.
“What?”
“The knights guarding the cell fell asleep, they woke up to an empty cell. “Here, you're shaking. She hands me a mixture of some concoction.
I held my nose with my left hand and gulped it down. “Someone aided that bastard,” I retorted, dropping the little glass cup on the floor; its shattering sound reverberated around the room.
“Exactly!! Sasha nods
“Tell Modered to call Benjamin and tell Sir Leon to bring in the knights guarding the cell, and least you forget, the serving maid who served the guards food and drinks, I want all of them here.
“What do you want, Benjamin?”
“For him to identify who aided that bastard and whoever is responsible will face her fate,”
“But you can do that,” Sasha huffed. Why call Benjamin?”
“You want me to practice witchcraft in front of the packs?”
“No!!! I mean, we can get to know who did it here …right here!!!
“And what happens when we find out who did?” How do we punish him/ her without giving reasons why?” What if it's an elder, someone we can't get to?” How would we tell the pack we found out he/she was responsible for Sheila’s freedom?
“You're right, she mouthed and walked over to the door.
“Sasha?” I call out and she turns over to me.
“Benjamin would be around don't forget to put on your necklace,”
“She smiles and walks out
