Scarlett's POV

We continued to eat our breakfast after the reintroduction. "What happened after I passed out yesterday?" I asked no one in particular.

"Director Rei told us about yo-" before Shawn can answer me, a pancake came flying at Shawn. Shawn removed the pancake. "Hey, why did you do that?" he glared at Hunter "I was about to tell her what Director Rei said regarding he-"

This time a waffle come flying at Shawn. I can see syrup dripping from Shawn's face. I swear I heard someone whispering "If you don't keep your mouth shut, I'll tie you up with my chain" I'm not quite sure myself who said that.

The kitchen became silent and I still didn't get my answer. No one meets my eyes.

"So, anyone?" still silent. I turned to Xavier. "Xavier, could you help me by driving me to my apartment and help me pack my clothes? I can't ride a bike with my leg like this," showing my injury.

"I don't think you need to." I gave him a confused look. "Yesterday when you are still unconscious, Director Rei told us that he will send someone to pack your stuff up. They will deliver it today. But he didn't specifically say when."

That...that old man... I facepalm myself. How could he asked someone to pack my stuff. My personal stuff?

"Xavier, can I borrow your phone?".

Xavier gave me his phone "Yeah, sure".

I don't know where my phone is. Luckily, I remember that old man's number. I wait for a few seconds before he picks it up "Director Rei speaking" he speaks sternly.

"Old man, these people said that you have sent someone to pack my stuff. Please tell me that you are just kidding with me," I said calmly but inside it was like a ticking time bomb.

"Oh, Scarlett-chan glad you to have you awake. How do you feel right now?".

I know he's trying to avoid my question. "I feel fine. Now answer my question".

"Umm...well...I kinda...did that. They should send your stuff around morning". "But, but those was my personal stuff. I can't believe it you did that. By the way, where are you right now?".

"I'm...working?" it sounds more like a question than a statement "Why do you ask?".

"Oh, nothing much. Just want to smack some sense to you using my scythe that all" I said casually.

I heard a gasp from the other line "How could you! I thought you love me".

"I do love you. But did you ever think that they will go through my stuff. My private personal stuff" I emphasized the word personal.

I think he gets what I meant because he said "Rest assured. I'll make sure they get punished if they did something to your stuff".

"Thank you. Now answer my question. Where are you right now?".

"Why? Do you miss me?".

I mentally rolled my eyes. He always dodges the question. "Rei, old man".

"Alright, alright. Don't call me old man I'm still young. I have some work to do. I'm at Rome, Italy".

"When did you get there?".

"Yesterday after your battle" I was speechless. How could he leave me in a house full of guys while I'm unconscious. "Hello Scarlett-chan are you there?".

"How could you...I thought you love me" I said with fake hurt. Messing with Rei is always fun.

"I... uh...I-I I thought you can han-handle yourself. Yo-you hate it wh-when I see you weak. S-so th-that's the reason wh-why I left. Do-don't hate me" he stutters.

I know he always cares about me but messing with Rei is fun.

"It's okay Rei I'm just messing with you. Just promise me to come back in one piece or I do something that you will regret" I smirk thinking about it.

"You are such a cruel woman, but I still love you. I promise you. Take care and I'll see you when I get back". We said our goodbyes before hanging up. "Thanks for the phone Xavier" I hand him his phone back.

"You're welcome mistress" he winked before drinking orange juice. "So, what are we gonna do today?".

I think for a moment. "Let see. We wait for Rei's men to arrive with my stuff. Then I get a shower and we will see from there". Suddenly I remember about my bandaged ankle. "By the way Luca, when can I walk on my own feet?".

"Well from the size of the fracture I think around 2 weeks it will fully heal. Do you want to use a wheelchair " Hunter said translating what Luca signed.

We made light conversation before the doorbell ring. Bennett was about to stand up But I stopped him saying that is maybe Rei's men on the door with my stuff. With the help of Xavier, more like he wants to carry me. We go to the front door.

What I... I mean Xavier open the door for both of us we are greeted by a man wearing black clothes.

"Is this where Scarlett Drachen live?" he asked while eyeing us weirdly.

Yeah, I know, a guy carrying a girl while opening the door must be quite a sight.

"I'm Scarlett Drachen" I answer his question while keeping a straight face.

"We have your stuff" he said in a monotone.

Before I can say anything, Xavier add "We'll show you the way".

The man said something to the people behind him before asking us to show the way. Xavier lead them to the room I woke up this morning. Xavier put me down on one of the chairs while he stood beside the chair. We look as the men come in with boxes because the room was quite large, they put the boxes at the corner of the room near the window.

Half an hour later they finish putting the boxes containing my stuff in the room. I thank them after they finish their job. When they exit the room, Xavier looks at me.

"Do you need any help searching for your outfit for today?" Xavier looks at the boxes at the corner.

"As much as I don't want to stand up only to search for my clothes. I'll choose my own outfit. You just have to search for the box that contains my clothes". Just thinking about Xavier pick my outfit kinda me shudder. Besides making a guy search for my outfit didn't sit well with me.

After going through the boxes, I swear at one point Xavier was smirking while looking at me. He finally found the boxes that contains my clothes. I asked him to bring me there so I could look for my outfit today. A few minutes later I found my clothes. While waiting for me, Xavier looks for things I can use to take a bath.

With the things, I need to shower with and my outfit, Xavier carries me to the bathroom.

"Do you want me to help you showering or what" he smirked. I just pointed at the door. He chuckles and walks out. "Shout if you need anything mistress. I'll be behind the door".

After Xavier walked out, I strip off the shirt and got ready for a bath. It was proven difficult trying to take a bath without putting any pressure on my injured leg. Let just say I almost called Xavier in because I was frustrated at one point. I decided to wear a grey-black hoodie with a red undershirt and black cargo shorts.

Right now, we are in my room. He put my dirty clothes in the hamper. Even though I said no, Xavier insist on drying and combing my hair. "Taking care of the mistress is the servant's duty," he said. My hair's not that long so I didn't need any help but Xavier ignored it and helped me dry my hair anyway.

"I'll put you in your room for a while because I need to take a bath right now. So, see you in a few minutes. Don't miss me, mistress" in a flash he was outside of the door.

I don't know what to do right now. I wonder where my phone went? I have the scythe pin on the table beside the bed. I put the pin on my hair. My thoughts lead to Rei. What kind of work that he needs to do at Italy? I just hope he will return in one piece. He the only family I have left.

The guys suddenly invade my thoughts, I don't even know why. Can I trust them? Should I tell them about 'The Slayer'? Am I gonna be fine here, living with them? I just don't want them to get stuck because of me. I don't know why, but the hell monsters are always attracted to me like a moth to a flame. I don't want to be a burden to them.

I was so deep in thought that I didn't realize that Xavier walked inside the room until he surprises me. On reflex, I slap Xavier on the face.

Xavier put his hand on the cheek I just slapped. "Oh, mistress. I was just playing. You didn't have to slap me that hard."

"Oh my god! I'm sorry Xavier. I didn't mean to slap you that hard" I exclaimed.

I inspect his face, making sure I didn't scratch his face or anything. Our face was so closed that our nose brushed. His hair is a little damp which meant he came here right after his bath.

"Hey, Scarlett do you ne-" Hunter enters my room with Shawn behind him without knocking.

Both of us froze in our spot. Me cradling Xavier's face in my hand. Both of Xavier's hand on either side of my waist. It may or may not look like we were about to kiss. It happened so fast that I couldn't give any reasons.

Both Shawn and Hunter launched themselves at Xavier and dragged him away from me.

"What are you trying to do, you perverted playboy?" Shawn said.

Hunter didn't give Xavier any chance to answer when he interrupted. "I didn't take you for a guy that takes advantage of a defenseless girl" Hunter grabbed the collar of Xavier's shirt.

"That's rude, Hunter. I'm playboy but I never make a move to defenseless girl" while grabbing Hunter collar. Both of them have a staring contest while grabbing each other collar.

I almost laugh. These guys are so dramatic. But Rei is more dramatic. It was entertaining but I didn't want them to beat each other to a bloody pulp.

"Stop!!" I yelled. The three of them stop the bickering and look at me. "It was a misunderstanding. I slapped Xavier on reflex. I was checking to make sure I didn't harm any parts of his face. That's all. Nothing like what you imagine happened"

Hunter flushed red and apologize to Xavier with Shawn. Xavier sighs before forgiving them.

"So, what are you doing here?" Xavier looks at Hunter and Shawn suspiciously.

Hunter rubbed the back of his neck without meeting our eyes "Well I thought-I mean we thought you'll need helping hands to unpack your stuff. So..." he trails off.

"Awe...that's sweet of you guys. But it's okay. Right now, I'm not in the feeling to unpack." I don't know why but the atmosphere turn depressing and dark. "But we can hang out together. How about we watch a movie?" I tried to light up the atmosphere.

I yelped when Xavier suddenly lift me off the bed. I hit his chest but not too hard. But he just gave me a boyish smile. "You know, we have theater room in this house".

"Really?".

"Of course. Do you see how big this mansion is? It's huge" Shawn dramatically said.

Not to be left out of the conversation Hunter piped in "We also have sauna room, indoor pool, jacuzi, game room and a library".

"Cool. I can't wait to take a look at those places". Even in my ear I can hear how excited I was.

After a few minutes walked finally we arrived. When we enter I was speechless. There a huge screen in the middle of the room. Around 15 comfy seats in front the screen. There a three vending machine at the corner of the room. A refrigerator at the side of the room. Beside the refrigerator was a counter with microwave and coffee maker on top of it. There also a cabinet but I don't know what inside it. I think maybe bowls or something.

Xavier put me down on one of the seats. "I'll get the food while you decide the movie you want to watch. What kind of drink do you want?".

"I'll take ice lemon tea" He nods and walks to the refrigerator.

Shawn sat beside me "So, what kind of movie do you wanna watch?".

"I don't know. Give me a suggestion" I really didn't have any ideas on what to watch.
