Lethal Attachments

Chapter 1 Doyle Doyle sat up in bed watching Kord pad around the room naked, pulling together his clothing for the early morning stakeout. The wintry predawn light was weak and gray but Kord had refused to turn on any lights, insisting he wanted Doyle to get back to sleep after he’d left. Kord pulled on a T-shirt which hugged his broad chest, then searched for underwear in the dresser. “Damn, which drawer is mine? I can never remember.” Kord’s stage whisper, husky with s****l energy, made Doyle shudder. “I’m kinda glad you can’t remember. I like watching you search.” Doyle happily observed as Kord bent to rifle through each drawer. Even in the early morning gloom, the perfect globes of Kord’s ass were clearly visible. The inviting glutes still held power over Doyle. After another minute savoring his view of the creamy flesh, Doyle relented and said, “Third drawer down.” Having Kord search in that particular drawer provided Doyle with an even more perfect view. “Found ‘em.” Kord stood up straight and crowed with success. “Show’s over, you perv.” Doyle smiled. He felt completely comfortable and content for the first time in a long time. And, without knowing for sure, he sensed Kord felt the same way. “Remind me again why we took this case,” Kord said. “You like having a roof over that gorgeous ass, right?” “And following some jackass who plays around on his husband is gonna keep that roof intact?” “You know it,” Doyle said. “Same s*x divorce cases are growing and, hey, it’s a living.” “Not very noble, if you ask me.” “Until the business gets going, we’ll have to skimp on noble,” Doyle said. Doyle watched Kord pull up his jeans and buckle them then reach for a sweatshirt which he deftly pulled over his head. “And you’re sure it’s my turn to tail the guy. ‘Cause it seems like just yesterday I was out in the snow following him for blocks while he did some shopping before going to his new boyfriend’s place.” “That was the day before New Year’s Eve. We took off the next two days and then it was me freezing my ass off. The day after New Year’s Day.” Kord grunted and moved to the bed. Carefully slipping his arms under the sheets, he cupped Doyle’s bare ass in his large warm hands. “Seems like you didn’t do any real damage. That ass is still in primo condition.”
