Matthew and Gerald arrived at his house, but he was shocked by what he found. He saw his things all broken apart – he didn’t even know if he should be happy or angry about what he was seeing.
“Ahm…what the heck?” Gerald said with a laugh as he took in the scene.
“Get in already, why are you just standing at the door?” Matthew, annoyed, pushed Gerald inside the house.
“Because it looks like a typhoon passed through your place… look.” He pointed at the messy house.
“Which crazy person did this to my house? Do they want to die for doing this to my home?” Matthew was fuming – the veins on his neck were almost popping out.
“Boss, the crazy person who did this is none other than the woman you told us to pick up earlier,” Mayson said, scratching his head.
Matthew just stared at Mayson, not knowing whether to laugh or not. But Gerald was laughing so hard at what he’d heard.
“Matthew, oh Matthew… So what now, it looks like you’ve met your match,” Gerald said.
“Give me the contact,” he told Gerald.
Gerald handed over the contract, and Matthew immediately headed to the room where Michelle was to talk to her and make her obey his wishes.
Matthew walked into the room and saw the woman he’d had kidnapped sitting on the edge of the bed.
“So, you’re the one who had me kidnapped, Mr. Matthew Madrigal!” Michelle said.
“It’s me, but there’s a reason why,” Matthew said in his own defense.
Matthew went straight to the sofa next to Michelle and sat down, so he could better admire the face of the woman he was going to marry.
“What’s the reason?” Michelle asked directly.
What the two don’t know is that Gerald, Mayson, Diego, Zandro, and Tristan are watching them by the door.
“She’s way too calm,” Gerald said, a bit confused by his friend’s behavior.
“Wasn’t he angry earlier?” Mayson asked.
“He even called her a crazy person,” Diego added, resting his chin in his hand – he was confused by his boss too.
“Did a kind saint possess the boss?” Zandro joked, smiling because he hoped the saint wouldn’t leave his boss anytime soon.
“Shut up!” Tristan snapped at the four of them.
“So, miss… what’s your name?” Matthew asked softly.
“Hm, so you kidnapped me without even knowing my name? Ridiculous!” Michelle snapped.
“Sorry about that,” he apologized politely to her.
“You called me CRAZY PERSON?” Michelle said, looking at Matthew like she wanted to kill him.
Matthew was shocked and confused – how did Michelle know what he’d said when he arrived earlier and saw the mess?
“How did you know about that?” Matthew asked.
“So you did really call me that!” She raised an eyebrow, confirming that Matthew had indeed said that about her.
He shook his head, still wondering how Michelle found out about it.
“Why don’t you let those five peeking through the door come in – they look like dogs,” Michelle said.
Matthew quickly opened the door and saw the five of them piled up there, up to their nonsense.
“What are you doing???!!!!” Matthew shouted.
“I just wanted to meet her – I don’t know about these four,” Gerald explained, immediately throwing the other four under the bus.
“Come in,” Matthew allowed Gerald to enter and meet the woman.
“Hi,” Gerald greeted Michelle.
“He is Gerald Gib, my best friend and business partner,” Matthew introduced his friend.
“Glad to meet you, Gerald. I’m Michelle Fuentebella,” she introduced herself and held out her hand to shake his.
“Glad to meet you too, Michelle,” Gerald said, shaking her hand. He felt how soft her hands were and blushed a little.
Matthew felt annoyed at Gerald – because Gerald had learned Michelle’s name before he had. He felt like he’d lost to his friend in that moment.
“You can leave now – Michelle and I still have things to talk about,” he told Gerald, who couldn’t take his eyes off the woman.
“You’re probably wondering why you’re here, right? Here, take this! And read it too!” He threw a folder onto Michelle’s lap.
Michelle opened the folder and was shocked by what she saw and read. In that moment, there was only one thing she wanted to do – slap her older brothers. She was so grateful they weren’t in front of her, otherwise they would have already gotten a taste of her anger.
“Give me that, before you do anything to the contract,” he said, snatching the folder from Michelle’s hands.
“500,000… I can pay you back twice, thrice!” If it was just money they were talking about, Michelle could easily pay off the debt her brothers had taken on.
