Chapter 8

Nathan pov

After witnessing what happened, he and I retract our devine sense from the past and I ask him the way forward because I am speechless about what we both saw. What surprised me the most is Alisha's betrayal cause there's no one that doesn't know the kind of love Elena has for Alisha despite her being cold to others and another thing that surprised me is finding out there's someone behind what happened to Elena 300 years ago, while we thought we've captured the enemy, the enemy is still out there walking freely and we still did not know who the person is. While still lost in thoughts, I heard him saying we should go find Eleanor for the solution to Elena's predicament. When get to Eleanor's place, he called her out and I'm sure if she didn't answer, she will lose her abode. After Eleanor gets out, she looks very scared as if she already knows about us knowing about what she did to Elena, so he didn't discuss anything with but just ask her the way forward to the problem on ground. She replied to him that it's only Elena that can help herself, what we can do to help her is always to be there for her whenever she's in trouble, she has to be the one to fight against the curse without anyone's interference. We left Eleanor's place and I thought we would be going to my house but he changed the direction by going to his prison to meet Michael.

Unknown pov

After we left Eleanor's place, I went to the prison to see Micheal in other to know how he was implicated in Elena's death. When I got to the prison, I was surprised to see Micheal in the bad state he is. I asked the guards to carry him out of the prison and told Nathan to treat him and after two weeks, Micheal is back on his feet and that give me the opportunity to ask him what I want to ask him. When he heard my question, he looks at me with surprise and said 'Were you not the one that send your personal guard to give me a knife and asked him to tell me that if I want our fight to end and if I want to draw blood from your body, I should use the knife he brought to me and fight with you and meet you at Alisha's house. I was even surprised you asked me to meet you at Alisha's place but drawing blood from your body with the knife has already ignited my fighting spirit which makes me not to think straight anymore. But when I get to Alisha's house and saw Elena's body in front of her house, that was when I realize I've entered someone's trap but it's too late to react because you met me there'. After Micheal was done with his own side of story, then I know my personal guard Noel also knows about all what happened 300 years ago. I left the room Micheal was and ask my trusted aid Matrin to bring Noel back from the earth but he came back empty handed. I ask him where Noel is and he said when gets to Noel's place on earth, he and his family are not there. I was angry that some people play with me as if I'm some ball and I also play according to their plan. I faced Nathan and told him to check Elena's future and when he's through, he said to me that if Elena eventually remembered everything, she would be angry because of her stupidity because what he saw in her future is her living a miserable life throughout the time she will use on earth until she's 23 years old but he didn't he anything else cause everything ends when she's 23 years old.

After I find out about what happened to Elena 10 years ago, my sickness also started and after investigating about what could cause it, we found out Noel is behind everything and every last day of each month, my sickness always occurs and this gave them all an opportunity to act against Elena because they knew I won't be available during those period. After Elena was kidnapped, that was when I knew the person behind Elena's death has joined hands with her sisters because the person is the only one that knows about my sickness. I am already regretting not doing anything to her sisters when I found out about their hatred towards Elena. I thought to leave them alone until Elena gain her power back so she could take revenge by herself not knowing I made a very big mistake about it.

Elena's skin peeled off until it remains bone that is visible to the eye and another skin starts to grow but what surprised me is that Elena did not look like how she looks like years back and didn't look like how she looks like when she's human.When the skin grows, it's the combination of both her looks years back and her 23 years old self. If not because everything happened in front of me, I won't believe it if I was told she's Elena cause she looks different entirely. I looked at Nathan and saw his mouth opened and I am happy I'm not the only one that is shocked about what's happening.
