Draugh fuh

Eldrians live under one contented rule of the dragon queen, so it has been, so it is and so it will be, unless the charge, known in elder tongue as draugh fuh suddenly stops appearing in every Eldrian generation, or maybe if it stops appearing in the females and starts in the males, maybe then there would be a dragon king instead, but as it stands they will always have a queen to rule over them, not even by their own choosing but by the preference of draugh fuh.

Draugh fuh is an exceptional ability, an absolute control over all others by means of a command or an order, in the earliest era of the Eldrians, it was a crude cry or roar that was made by the bearer whose intentions are embedded in the cry or roar, all those who hear it will have no choice but to do the biddings that had been ordered, it was rarely misused at this time, the bearer only uses it when in utmost and urgent need or when in absolute danger.

As time passed and the gifts and abilities of Eldrians got more advanced, so did draugh fuh, not it wasn’t necessary to cry or shout or roar for the command to be carried out, a simple speech from the bearer could carry the ability in it and everyone who hears it obeys without fault, it was at this time that it could also be directed to an individual or a group of people only or even a particular breed of Eldrians only amongst others present and it is only those it was intended for that will obey.

The ability to pinpoint draugh fuh against certain receivers started at the time of Elouise the mother, from the dark froth breed, when she discovered that draugh fuh had indeed chosen her, she made training with it a priority even more than other normal training, it was then she discovered she could hit at selected intended individuals or breeds and this was before she even got crowned queen.

Elouise the mother trained hard with draugh fuh not because she loved to use it or that she wanted to control her people better, no, if anything she hated the ability more than anything, she was a strong believer of free will and anything that threatened that was against her and she fought against it, little did she know she was going to be gifted with draugh fuh, an ability that went against her beliefs.

She trained this ability because she had to, the current dragon queen was a volcanis, and it had been proven time and time again that volcanis hated dropping power, they never want to get off the throne once it was time, take the current dragon queen as well for example, she had already been there for two extra generations, when those who discovered they were next in line when draugh fuh chose them suddenly disappeared never to be heard of again.

There were speculations that it was until draugh fuh chooses another volcanis that she would be able to overthrow the current one thanks to their equal thirst for power, but Elouise wasn’t about to be fodder, she was going to break the streak and win back the throne, this is why she initially started a secret rebellion with trusted allies, they had been growing in size and conviction and had a lot of plans to enact once the next dragon queen to be was discovered, little did they know it was going to be the leader and instigator of the rebellion herself that would be chosen by draugh fuh, some said the ability was alive and always knew what was needed, some claimed it was the ancestral spirits of Eldrians that are in the ability and so they could make choices and decisions as it would best suit the Eldross continent and kingdom.

Upon discovering the charge in her, Elouise chose a select few to inform and help train with, she knew she had to be ready before the whole rebellion could know, else they would be hungry for action once they saw that it was indeed their leader that was finally chosen.

Once the ability was well sharpened to her satisfaction, she called her followers and they started making their moves but not before she had used draugh fuh on them all, little by little they started replacing the palace guards, the elders; advisors, ministers, captains and commanders after working out a kind of demise for those there presently (most of who were of the volcanis breed, seeing how they loved power, the current dragon queen had been integrating them in powerful positions, all so as to ensure her continuous reign)

Elouise the mother tried to work on as many Eldrians as she could, those close to the palace and those close to the current dragon queen, she tried to get to a lot of them as many as she could before the time frame for the actions of the rebellion to start.

Having done that, the day of the overthrow came around and all about the current dragon queen she had very few people left to support her seeing as the rug had been subtly swept away from under her, she used her charge seeing it as the only way out for her at that point in time, but she was shocked as it failed and all those around her seemed immune to what was considered absolute.

At that point, Elouise the mother came forward and said to her “Oh it won’t work, because all these while, I have been working to counter everything you might throw at us, including draugh fuh, everyone you see here is under my draugh fuh which is currently superior to yours, and they are under the explicit order to not be affected by your draugh fuh over mine, I never knew it would work so well though, I guess even draugh fuh has had enough of you” after saying this stood defiantly in front of the about to be dethroned dragon queen.

The dragon queen might be a power monger and hoarder but she knew when she was beaten, nothing could give her the upper hand anymore, not battle, not draugh fuh, and her allies were nowhere to be found, this had been a well thought out and well planned coup, one only worthy of someone worthy to be the dragon queen.

If she decided to fight right now, then they would have the perfect excuse to kill her, but as it stands, going nonviolently is the only way to assure her of her life, at most she would be imprisoned for a very long period of time, but then time wasn’t really against her yet, so she gave up and was arrested and imprisoned, giving Elouise the mother the throne.

From that point on though, Elouise the mother was only referred to as mother, hardly was she even called queen because her subjects loved her so much, for setting them free especially and her motherly protection against the tyranny of the volcanis dragon queen.

Draugh fuh never really leaves the bearer, it gets a whole lot weaker than when the bearer is deemed the dragon queen, but it still lingers enough to be effective, this is why the previous queen if not dead is usually exiled to the far reaches of the continent and some choose to be off the continent entirely and so they go mix with the humans in their own continent.

The draugh fuh reappeared in the next generation as usual and it was discovered in one of the most formidable Rouran breed ever seen, she was responsible for bringing a stop to the war caused amongst the humans at a very young age, a white dragon named Laura, all the while in her training, no one had been able to beat her at her full strength.

Discovering that draugh fuh chose her became a bit much for her and so she fled the continent during which the freeze incident happened, she as well did as queens do and raised up an army to fight back, but they were countered with draugh fuh of the current dragon queen, Elouise the mother, bearer of the most powerful draugh fuh ever recorded as at then.

Whilst in captivity, Laura developed her own draugh fuh to according to the circumstances and another upgrade was recorded for the ability, for the first time, the draugh fuh was used without a cry, a scream, a roar or even words, but rather with thoughts, mind speak and dream invasion and it was sent over a considerable far distance, farther than any other draugh fuh bearer in record had been able to, and for the first time as well, other generations of dragons got affected by it, although hers wouldn’t be the first time, and she is known to affect just one other generation and very few can even still be affected but still as record till currently dictates she used it in these regards, more than once or thrice.

No one knows the exact origin of draugh fuh, no one knows how it chooses its bearers or why it chooses them, no one knows why or how it also moves from breed to breed, or why it decided to come earlier than usual and to stop that different breed streak and instead chose to appear in the same breed for this current generation, but some things had been constant about it;

Firstly, it only appears in exceptionally strong females, those who can always fight and go beyond their limit to achieve what is needed and secondly, it has kept upgrading for the past five generations till this current one.

One other thing is that draugh fuh users are able to communicate first with each other in dreamlike plane where they can make physical appearances and show each other visions and memories, this is how current dragon queens learn from the past ones, there is the possibility that this ability of draugh fuh can also be advanced, either to bring others apart from draugh fuh users into the dream plane or something else, this remains to be seen with the current draugh fuh bearer, Ryoka.
