The shattering glass echoed in the air as it pieced on the floor, and I couldn't help but imagine if it had actually crashed on Redrine's leg. If I hadn't pulled her out on time!
I totally failed to realize that I still held her to myself until she slowly looked up at me. A funny stroke tickled against my chest at the closeness of her body against mine with my arm firmly wrapped around her waist possessively. She seemed to have gotten affected too, she totally lost herself staring at me.
My eyes drifted unconsciously to her lips and my heartbeat increased momentarily. I quickly gathered every piece of my senses and pushed her off before Nikos took charge and made me do something I would regret for the rest of my life.
But I almost regretted my action as she fell hard
