The Next Step

Anna’s pov.

Man going to school is always such a drag. But hey, at least I can see my friends and my crush!! Ahhh I wonder when he’s going to ask me out lol I absolutely love the month. April!! It always rains so much. Even the smell of rain water is just so relaxing… especially when theirs a breeze and I’m by the trees. He told me to wait for him after school that he had something to talk to me about. I’m going to stay calm and try not to get my hopes up. It starts pouring down after school out but I’m going to meet up with him by the Anex. He’s rushing over to me. Ahhh he’s so cute!!!

“Hey sorry I didn’t get here sooner. I was talking to the teacher.” He tells me so sweetly while giving me a kiss on the cheek and hugging me tightly. I can already feel my face turning bright red and blushing hella hard.

“You’re cold. What did I say about you getting cold. You could have just waited inside the building for me…” giving me his best pouty face which makes it so hard not to fall even harder for him.

“I know I know it’s just that it’s raining, and you know how much I can’t resist the rain. I’m sorry next time I’ll wait in the building for you.” Cuddling myself up closer to him while I roll my eyes at the last part, which I’m pretty sure he catches me doing. I can’t help but smile at what he does next.

“ Don’t you dare roll your eyes at me, miss sassy pants, I say this because i care about you!” He tells me in a loving voice. Ahhh he won. I can’t help but swoon over him.

“Damn well you got me.” I have a big ole cheesy smile on my face big enough to show my dimples.

“Good. So I wanted to ask you something…” He reaches his arm above his head scratching the back of his neck. Dang he must be really nervous.

“Do you want to go out with me?? And also be my date to the JROTC ball??” He smiles nervously at me with a small blush creeping up from his neck to his ears and cheeks!!! Oh my gosh!!! He is so cute!!!

“Hell YES I WILL! To both questions.” I chuckled nervously… and trying to hide my face because he just makes me so shy!!! Ahhh he asked me out!!!! I’m so happy! I still can’t believe it! He seemed so shocked by my answer. Once that shock wears off, though, he shows me a colossal smile. He lifts me up off the ground and twirls me in the air in his arms.

“Eeek!!!” He's twirling me in the air took me by surprise, but it was so sweet I couldn’t help but giggle and flash him my smile.

“Great! You are officially my girlfriend! You are mine, miss Anna.” And with that he took my hand in his, lacing our hands together. ‘Wow my hands are wayyyy much smaller than his.’ Today is such a memory I will never forget. Hopefully he doesn’t get sick because I just remembered we’re outside in the rain. Oops. He walks me to my home. As we’re walking, we’re just talking about random things, so I go to ask him one of my hypothetical questions, knowing it’s not really hypothetical…

“ Soooo if I happened to be an assassin that makes a lot of money and saves kids, basically taking out bad guys, what would you think??” This is actually making me kinda nervous not going to lie.

“I don’t know I’m not really too keen on violence. Like, I know it’s to save kids, and I’m all for it. I think that’s great, but I don’t know, do you mean like now, now while we’re dating??” Ooff this is going to be eye-opening. I hope this is going in the right direction.

“Yes, like right now while we’re dating?? What do you think?? Would you still want to be with me??” Pleassseee say yes.

“ Does it involve you killing people?? Because, beating up I could understand, but, the killing, I’m not too sure it’d probably be a dealbreaker, though.” Whyyyy this is so heartbreaking…. I don’t want to break up with him. He’s literally everything I’ve wanted in a guyyyyy. Plus, I’m in highschool what if he’s the one?!

“Good thing it’s not real though. Plus, you’re only 16, you’d have to have great skills to be able to do that, especially to be rich.” I laughed nervously, trying not to seem suspicious..we continued walking to my house. What do i do now?? I mean I can make a contract, right?? But what would I even put or how would I go about it… ughhh I think it’s time for me to talk to Kallia about this…

“You know I’ve had a big crush on you for a long time… I’d say since middle school when we first met in computer class..” he tells me nervously.

“ No way?! If you’ve had a crush on me why didn’t you ever do anything about it, huh??” I love to tease awww he’s turning red.

“Well, because at that time you had a boyfriend and I didn’t really have an, in to talk to you. Anyway, plus I don’t like to split up couples.” He chuckles to himself.

“Ohhh so you just waited till I was single and took your time to talk to me and get to know me, then ask me out, huh?? Smart move might I say. But if you had tried talking to me back then I would’ve told you I had a crush on you too.” I say with a smile on my face while skipping, because I’m a bit too embarrassed that I admitted it.

“Come on, you are making it up. There's no way you had a crush on me. I bet you didn’t even know who I was back then.”

“Oh no, I definitely knew who you were. You were one of the guys that played football with my brothers and their friends. So sweetie, of course I knew of you. I was just too shy to talk to you, plus, like you said, I had a bf at that time.”

“Good thing it didn’t last because then I wouldn’t have been able to ask you out.” He says, grabbing my hand and yanking it towards him, pulling my body against his into a full-on bear hug. My face flushes red, and my heart starts beating like crazy. I can’t believe it. He’s mine and I’m his.

“You are absolutely right! You are now mine as I am yours.” Smiling so wide at him with my cheeks blushing.

“Definitely. You’re my jiga boo now. And it looks like I’m going to have to let you go now because we are at your house.” I grab his arms and keep them wrapped around me because I feel so safe in his arms… pouting my lips at him while walking slower.

“Fine fine, we can hug and walk till we get closer to your house deal?” I’m smiling so brightly. I squealed in excitement at him.

”DEAL!! I will take it.” I start giggling like a mad man when he tickles my sides. Then he kissed my cheek! I’m standing frozen because of how shocked I am. I can’t believe it! He kissed me!!!!

“Was that too early to do?? It’s just you were so cute and I couldn’t help but wanting to give you a kiss on the cheek.” He says running his hand through his hair while turning away which I find is sooo HOT!!!! So I grab him by the collar of his shirt and bring him down towards me.

“Nope, I’ve been dieing to kiss you.” I bring my lips to his lips and kiss him gently but bite down a little on his bottom lip which seems to have caught him off guard than I feel him smile through the kiss and he responds back against my lips but his is more wanting than mine. He pull my waist towards his body pressing me more into him while we continue our steamy make out session. Only to realize we’re on a side walk and theirs cars honking at us making me so embarrassed and shy so we stop kissing. I look up at him and he’s flicking the cars off with a smile on his face…

“ I’ll see you tomorrow make sure to text me sweetheart.” He gives me one last kiss before walking away.. UGHHH why is he so perfect!!!
