Chapter 7

I was unaware of the events, but I recalled Dad being in the fire.

A tear dropped down my cheek and I felt something that I wasn't sure about.

"Hey, are you crying?" The woman enquired "No. I replied, "I'm alright. When can we leave? Yvonne asked "Where to? Come with me, it's almost dark, and it's unsafe.The We just followed her tailing behind, not sure where we were going.

The interior of the enormous and exquisitely designed mansion screams wealth, with two staircases to navigate. Although our house is really big but this is massive, i could imagine the size of the rooms

"Diane" The lady called, another lady came running through the passage

"Your highness" she answered bowing her head.

The lady was talking to the other woman, We couldn't hear what they were saying but we were also having our own conversation.

"That's why they're so many guards here" i get it now.

She took us to a room upstairs, well furnished and told us to have our bath. It's different; in my house i have my room all to myself a very large space with huge bed, but still I'm happy we have where to stay in a beautiful palace i smiled to myself as Matilda walked out of the bathroom, i went in to have my bath too and put on the fresh clothe we were given.

"Hello are you girls done bathing? Diane asked us

"We are done" "Okay come downstairs the food is ready"

"Okay" Matilda replied and started getting ready to go downstairs

"Ain't you coming?" "No.

"why not?" I'm not hungry"

"You haven't eaten anything good for the past few days Yvonne "I'm coming. Matilda went downstairs to join the family. All i thought of was my Dad who got burnt alive, i got tensed thinking of the terrible things that they might have done to my mum, i was terrified. I felt my cheek burn from hot tears.

I cried for roughly fourty-five minute before i heard the door open i started wiping my face.

The lady who'd helped us came inside with Matilda who ran to sit next to me and hugged me tightly "Yvonne, I'm so sorry i left you, i wasn't allowed to leave the table once i was there; that's why i didn't come back, please forgive me" She said hugging Yvonne "I'm fine"Yvonne answered "Why are you crying the elderly lady asked Yvonne "I'm okay"she answered shaking her head i miss my mother.

"Hey! mum would be fine, i promise you.

"Have you tried giving her a call?

The lady asked and besides, how did you end up wandering around here? "We were with.. before Matilda could continue Yvonne caught her to her words Yvonne caught her to her words

"We were with our Dad but he was abducted and we managed to escape without them noticing so we lost our way "And your address?

Yvonne gave the lady an address which isn't rightly theirs but that of her teachers, Mrs Janet

"I'll try to reach your home" The lady told them, and walked out of the room "Thank you so much."

Once they were left alone Yvonne faced Matilda "Dad said we shouldn't trust anyone, neither should we disclose our identity"

"But she's nice Matilda added"

"Do you know her? We don't know who's after us, they killed my brother, my sister and they burnt my Dad alive in his car, can't you see! I don't even know if my mum is still alive, it's been six days Matilda"

"Hey mum is Alive i am sure; she has to be".

"There's a phone let's call mum" We picked the phone and called home after three rings the call was picked

"Hello, i heard my mom's faint voice "Mummy, Mummy it's me" "Yvonne? Yvonne? tell me that's really you.

"It's me mummy" i cried out

"I miss you so much my baby girl, where's your sister, where's Matilda?
