It was Friday but the week had been upheaved with so many unpleasant events that Oden felt like it couldn’t end soon enough. Going to work while supporting a hangover was not his cup of tea, that was why he avoided drinking too much during weekdays, last night being an exception.
Ever since Ash had left, the mornings were grumpy with no sweet wife to greet him and prepare him breakfast. The evenings were easier as he worked till late to avoid the lugubrious atmosphere of his apartment, having take-away dinners in the office. Even more horrible and lonely were the nights when he missed the warmth of his mate, sometimes preferring staying up late reading cold law cases to sleeping alone.
