I ran a hand through my hair, dropping my elbow on my knee as I rested my chin on my intertwined fingers. “I expected you to be happy since you've gotten the job.” Lily sauntered out of her kitchen with two cups of coffee on her hand. She handed one to me, which I took, leaning back against the couch of her house. “I would if I wasn't certain that I've lost the job already,” a sigh, followed by me taking a sip of the coffee. She took a seat on the chair beside the couch I sat on. “Didn't you just get the job? How are you certain you've lost it?” “You don't know anything.” Thinking about all I had done, I couldn't help but wince. Why did I have to be so dramatic? “Well, I called Nirman and he's on his way," she took a sip of her coffee. “That doesn't help with me losing my job.”
