TFE 1: Orientation

Amara Ellaine POV

"WERE essentials! Oath to save humanity and peace!" I exclaimed with braveness.

"But Amara! You just turned 18! What do you think of the academy? A playground?!" My mother spoke with the same ferocity. I bit the insides of my mouth and turn my back on her.

I quickly packed my things but I felt that everywhere I look, my family is forcefully stopping me. I meet my parents eyes once again. "BAKIT BA SUNOD KAYO NG SUNOD?!" Nagpupuyos kong tanong.

Habang kumakamot sa kaniyang ulo, sumagot ang aming padre de familia. "Anak, huwag ka na pumunta sa academy."

Nagsalubong ang aking kilay at mabilis akong umiling. "Ano bang problema?"

He sigh and placed his hand over my shoulder. "You're strong yes, but because til this very age of yours, all you can do is to make water splash, Amara Ellaine."

"We, your parents, know what kind of life you'll end up upon entering that academy." She pertain to Essential Academy as the place where humanity couldn't be seen to us every almost everyday. I don't really get them, and I don't care. They graduated and polish their skills there but they won't let me in.

Kahit nagtataka, nagsalita na ako ng mahinahon. "Just wait and I'll prove it to you."

Ayon ang huling mga salitang binitawan ko sa kanila at ngayon, parang gusto ko nang bumalik.

Right after I went inside the Essential Academy, I've been an outcast to my co-water essential tribes and been feeling hellish.

Today is the day. After of our four first days here, now is the day they'll release the official statement of the teams, classification, and they'll give the keys for the dorms.

Kanina pa ako nakaupo at nagaantay tawagin ang pangalan ko, sa tingin ko ganito talaga hinuhuli tawagin yung mga feeling magaling lang. Sa apat araw na pagistay ko dito wala akong ibang natanggap kun'di kunsume at sakit ng ulo.

"Amara Ellaine, 18, water tribe, team Fallen." After my name got called my co-tribe laugh their asses off along with other tribes.

I rolled my eyes and just get up. I walk to where my things are placed and gather it with no any other man helping me carry out. They wouldn't like be a gentleman to a low level water tribe girl like me.

Congrats Amara, ikaw ang pinaka mahinang Water Essential. I immediately shrugged the idea and get the badge with the word 'Fallen' handed by the annoying smirk face of the guild master. His shining blue cape and blue oceanic rings doesn't suit him actually.

I don't like him. Like seriously, all he did while handing the badges, is to belittle the little; both in power or the physical characteristics of our tribe, and give applauses to the others who's name is known for being a-hole in this university.

And when I say I don't like him, I meant it. When I finally got the badge and dorm key, I low-key whispered. Mabuti na lang at medyo naka talikod ako sa ibang essential. I must break the guild master's degree for a while.

"If our ancestors were here to see you doing faces after faces, your soul will suffer hundred times in each person you belittle." I said it while bowing. So when I stand straight again and look at him, his eyes are wide open with his mouth, gapping.

Serves him right.

"What did you just said?!" He shouted, making the others shock. I kept my straight face and pointed myself. "Me? I did not say anything." Other guild masters come to us and got the cocky guy away from me.

"Barwen! What are you doing?! You're scaring her! The prophecy said be...." Their voices fade as they got me away.

Two woman wearing a guild master's cape and wearing rings come to me and smile. "Why! you cheeky little girl. I saw what you there." Said by the woman wearing a red cape. That cape is awesomely pretty. Too bad I'm a water essential.

"Me? Hmm. I think I did what I think was right." I bluntly said. There's no room for denying.

"Woah, you gotta tongue to rendered, little fighter." The other guild mater said. Based on her cape and figure, she's from Air tribe and holding a nice confidence handling her essential.

"Hmm." I answered bothered. The guild master of fire tribe is deducting my appearance. To give the equal respect, I also checked her out. When our eyes met, I give her my sweetest smirk.

"Why?" She said

"Hmm None, Kyoleigh." With that being said, the two guild master swiftly move closer to me.

"H-how"

"I don't know, I just think of your name. My mind maybe." That's a lie. Kyoleigh closed her eyes then turn her back on me before walking out. She can't believe I just told her name like I'm some witch. Well... That name just popped up in her face. It's like a hidden talent of mine.

"Um, Bye, little fighter."

"Bye, Zaxx"

Again, I saw her shock because I'm guessing her name. Is it right though? I didn't use my power for her name but pure guess.

"Y-you....h-" before even letting her finished, I cut her off. "I guess."

Ganon ba kadali mga pangalan ng mga tao sa paligid ko at nahuhulaan ko? Weird.

After some time I finally got to my seat but the bad thing is, someone is now sitting there.

'Wala bang alam na manners mga tao dito?' bulong ko sa sarili at nanatiling kalmado. Mahirap na, kahit anong tama ko, kung mas gamay nila ang tubig wala rin.

"That's my seat." I said with low firm voice. They look at me with disgust and the girl sitting on my place just smile. Salamat at may maayos-

"I don't care. Kung may pake ako umalis na ako." Matapang siya biglang nagsalita. Salbahe naman to. Maganda lang walang ugali.

"Bakit hindi ka bumalik sa upuan mo kung saan ka?" Tanong ko habang mahinahon pa rin. Nakarinig kami ng samut-saring pakikiososyio sa pinaguusapan namin. Ako ang last na tinawag sa water tribe, kaya talagang nararamdaman ko ang angas na bitbit nila.

"Inuutusan mo ba ako? I'm in team C! Mas magaling ako sayo!" She crossed her legs in front of me and her one eyebrow rose.

"No, but you see, taking my seat will only left me with an impression of how you like bragging others just to get the place you dreamt to have." The people around her made a sound as I saw how they agree with me using their talking eyes. Pathetic, she got so many 'two-faced' friends.

Immediately, the bottle of water she's handling flew to my direction and I'm lucky my reflexes save me. I grab the bottle just before it hit my face.

Mas lalo ko atang nagalit ang babaeng yon at nakikita ko nang parang may lumalabas na usok sa ilong niya. Her temper is as short as my 2 inch heels.

"How dare you-" bago pa siya matapos, I was drag from behind. Mabilis ang hila niya kaya mabilis rin akong napatakbo dahil hawak niya ang kaliwang siko ko. I also saw in my peripheral vision that a girl got my things and quickly catch up to our pace. Who are they?

"Who are you guy-"

"Silence." There, I got a stupid answer.

"Aba!" I tried to answer back but the girl from my right who's unbelievably strong faced me.

"Can you just please shut up?" When we stopped running, i roamed around and I saw that we are in the far corner. And in where i stand, I can see essentials looking for their group. I can also see that the hall looks like a carnival for a lot of essentials are showing off their power.

I look at the one who dragged me. Bored, bossy. I look at the one who got my things. Pretty, Strong. Based na rin sa kanilang badge na suot, we're on the same group.

Team Fallen

So that explains why they dragged me.

"So-" I started to talk but the man who dragged me distance himself. Can I smack his head off?

"Uhm, my best friend doesn't like talking." She said... Is she a spoke person of this man?

"Uhm, No I'm not a spoke person." She said while awkwardly smiling. I read her name and it say's Tishara Hari

I furrowed my eyebrows. In normal days, when I'm using my powers on seeing names, their names are appearing in their faces that becomes hollow and dull for a moment. Even those Guild Masters their names are plain.

But in Tishara, it appears on her left chest and the name is written in flaming green letters.

" Uh, Ok Tishara." I said, still confused because, that's a first.

" So, that's your hidden power. Nice." I quickly turn my head to face the guy. He said that statement without a doubt so I look at him with a suspicious look. That's when his name appears.

Fuck. His name is in his chest with flaming white letters too. Ethereal Vaoq.

What the f**k is wrong with them? Their names are showing with a special italic flaming letters!

"Hey!!!" Sabay sabay kaming napalingon sa direksyon kung saan nakita ko ang isang lalaking matagal ko nang nilalayuan. f**k.

"Eh?! Guthrie?!" I didn't expect to see him so I quickly look at his badge but I didn't expect that what I saw shock me more-

What's happening to me?

His name is in italic flaming blue letters also! The last time I saw him that's not how it used to be. 

"Hi Enemy! Yehey! We're Team Fallen!" He said teasing me.

"Are you mocking me?"

" Am I?" He move closer. " Because it's a yes!"

" ABA'T!-" hindi ko naituloy ng biglang tumayo si Ethereal at tinakpan ang bunganga ko. Luge, may kakampi na si Guthrie.

"Anyway, here's our bracelets." Guthrie distribute the identical but with different color bracelets. Mine is blue, Guthrie got red, Tishara got white and Ethereal got green.

Then all of a sudden, Guthrie pointed me. "Ikaw ang sinabi kong leader ng team natin."

Sa isang iglap, nagawa kong sipain siya mula sa tagiliran at nakawala sa mahigpit na hawak ni Ethereal. Napasinghap ang lahat nang nakakita sa ginawa ko dahil nabuwag sa pagkakatayo si Guthrie.

Guthrie on the other hand while still on the ground immediately swing his foot to me that cause me my balance so we both end up in the ground. Natawa kaming dalawa sa ginawa namin, para kaming mga bata.

Guthrie is my childhood friend-enemy. Also because he's from fire tribe and I'm from water. Our family isn't that close but because of Guthrie and I, constant fighting, they become close and acknowledge that as a friendly duel.

Because in terms of powers, we're both next to zero.

Tatayo na sana kami nang lumapit si Tishara at Ethereal sa harapan namin at umupo.

"Hi! I'm Tishara Hari from Air tribe." Tishara wave at us so we waved back.

"Hi, I'm Guthrie Czach from Fire tribe."

"Im from-"before I can even finish my sentence, Ethereal cut me.

" Ethereal Vaoq, Earth tribe." Our eyes met making him look away. Anong problema neto? Nakakarami na to, akala niya close kami.

"Amara Ellaine, Water tribe."

Habang naglalakad papuntang dorm ng aming Team, hindi ko maiwasan mapansin kung paano gumalaw si Ethereal.

"Huy baka matunaw!" Napaigik ako ng biglang magsalita si Guthrie sa gilid ko.

" Hindi ka ba nacre creepihan sa kaniya?" Mabilis siyang umiling habang hawak pa ang baba niya.

"Hindi, ikaw ang creepy kanina mo pa siya tinititigan eh."

Natapos ang usapan namin nang makarating na kami sa dorm na tutuluyan namin. Asa pinaka dulo at base palang sa pintuan, parang matagal nang hindi nabubuksan o mapagkakamalan mo pang tambakan ng marurumi.

At hindi nga ako nagkamali, nang buksan ni Tishara ang pinto, tumambad saamin ang puro agiw at tambak na sirang gamit.

"Ano to basurahan?" Guthrie said so Tishara look at him. "Don't state the obvious."

" Ohhhh. Burn." Pangaasar ko kay Guthrie at pinaikutan niya lang ako ng mata.

"Baka mali lang tayo ng pinuntahan?" Ethereal said still can't believe what we had entered.

"Edi sana hindi gumana yung susi diba?" Napatingin saakin si Ethereal kaya I blink my eyes slowly and stoping the smirk face I want to express.

"So should we start cleaning, Leader?" Tishara asked me so I sigh. Tell me again why I pursue coming to this academy?

Ah, We're Essentials oath to save humanity and peace.

With that being said I nod slowly. "Let's start cleaning, Team Fallen."

Nandidito na ako, I must prove to my parents I can survive.

Team leader of the lowest Team huh?
