Chapter 9: The Family

I have never been in a car before, let alone out of the pack. I'm nervous and excited. I probably look like a 5 year old in a candy store!

Jax is smiling at me.

Jax: Have you never seen the city?

Abril: No, I was never allowed outside of the pack."

Him and Derek look at me with pity. and they both start to growl.

Abril: Stop it! I don't need for you both to be upset and ruin this for me. I assume you both will show me a lot of my first experiences, so please don't ruin it for me."

Jax: You are right little one, anything you want to learn, you will. Do you know what you would like to study?

Derek: I am sorry, Luna, I will make sure that you get to see anything and support you in anything you want to do."

Abril: Thank you both. I want to become a doctor. I'm not sure where to start, but I want to be able to heal all of our wolves."

Jax: That is a fabulous idea! I will talk with the pack doctor and see where you should start to volunteer your time and go to school."

I smiled and started to drift off.

*Few Hours later*

Jax is shaking me awake, and I am so comfy that I don't want to. I hear him giggle, I wonder why?

Angel: You are talking in your sleep, doll. You told him that you don't wanna. If you have to move then you needed to be carried."

I snap my eyes open and stare at him, I hope he wont be mad at me.

Abril: I'm sorry, I'm awake now. Please don't be mad at me."

Jax: Little one, I will never be mad at you, so please calm down. I thought you were cute, so I giggled a little bit. I'm sorry. I can carry you upstairs, but my family would love to meet you."

I nodded, lets meet your family. I don't want to leave a bad impression.

As we are walking into the worlds biggest castle, like seriously? I will never be able to find my way around.

An older couple and 2 big guys and 1 woman are standing just inside the entrance. I suddenly get attacked and hear a scream in my ear.

Jenna: OMG!!! I'M SO GLAD YOU ARE FINALLY HERE!!! I HAVE BEEN DYING FOR A SISTER!

Abril: Hello, could you get off of me? That really hurt. Do you actually want to be my friend? I'm not sure how to do that, but I promise I will try my best."

As she is letting me go, I bow to her and she looks at me with pity. Did I say something wrong?

Angel: No, you were really polite. We can ask Jax later?"

I turn and bow to the rest of the group.

Abril: Hello, my name is Abril. It's very nice to meet all of you, I will work really hard and will try my best to make this pack strong, and be the best mate I can be for Jax."

Athea: Oh my sweet girl! You are so sweet! Please don't be afraid of us, we want you both to be happy and are thrilled to think of you as a daughter."

She walks up and gives me a really warm hug. Tears fell from my eyes, I never had anyone be so sweet.

Mike: Son, make sure you treat her well. She is strong, I can feel it. Abril, it is an honor for us to have you join our family. Please make yourself at home, we will get to know each other very soon and I can't wait for you to call me father. My name is Mike, the former King, and this is my Mate Athea. This here our Nate and Atlas, Jax's younger siblings. You met Jenna, Jax's younger sister. I promise that we will support you in anything your heart desires and we want to welcome you to our family."

I look at Nate and Atlas, they are cute but very young. Nate walks uup to me with the biggest smile.

Nate: Welcome home! I will be training you with Derek. To help get you in shape. I'm glad that you a part of our family! Training starts on Monday 4 am sharp!"

Atlas looks at me and only nods his head and walks away. I hope I didn't make him mad.

Angel: You did nothing wrong, maybe he is jealous, oaskur mate?"

Jax excuses us to go take me up to our room. When we get there, I am completely lost. He opens the door and scoops me up bridal style. I giggle at him.

Jax: Welcome home little one. I hate to leave you so soon, but I have a lot of paperwork to do. If you miss me, ask one of the gauds to show you to my office."

Abril: Thank you! I will get us both settled."

After he left I was looking in our room to see it, Jax has incredible taste. I wonder if it would be ok to add some more girly things, or if I could have a space to study. Its a lot. I guess the first thing I need to do is unpack, which is mainly Jax's stuff. I wonder if Jenna would give me a tour.

Just as I thought it Jenna is at the door knocking and calling my name.
