Chapter 13: Shopping

I'm not sure what I expected, but this place is enormous! Like for real? This place exists? I am overwhelmed, but Jenna makes me be adventurous and I'm having a blast.
Jenna: Do you know what kind of clothes you prefer?"
Abril: Not really. Could I try on a few different styles?"
Jenna: Sure! Let me go grab some and you can start."
She walks away, I'm kind of standing here all alone and I'm starting to feel anxious. I start to stroll the different areas and see if anything catches my eye. Nothing really stands out so i start looking for the fitting rooms. I walked for 5 minutes when I found them and I took a seat in the little waiting area. There are some guys here who are staring at me with blank faces.....was I not supposed to sit here?
Abril: Hi, is it ok if I sit here while I wait for my friend?"
The guys just grunt, but don't say anything to me. So I sit down. A few minutes later I hear a bunch of girl yelling in a high pitched noise. They are excited about something, but I'm not sure what. I didn't have to wait long for them to come out. Now I get it, the guys are waiting for the ladies in the waiting room.
The lady's come out in beautiful dresses. All of them look at me in shock, like I wasn't supposed to be here, then anger passes their faces.
Abril: You ladies look beautiful in those dresses." I say as I try to get up and leave, I wonder where Jenna is.
Girl 1: My name is Becky. What are you doing here? Are you trying to steal our mates? You shouldn't be here, you don't belong and no one invited you. Go stand on the corner and maybe some wolf will take pity on you." She spat in my face.
Abril: There is no need to be rude! I just wanted to sit while I waited for my friend! I asked every guy here if that was ok. If it wasn't your MATES should have said so. Don't blame me for your problems!"
Becky: HOW DARE YOU TALK TO THEM!!! You don't deserve to be in our presence you W****!"
She walked up to me and slapped me then kicked my legs. I fell to the ground and each of the girls started kicking me all over my body. I screamed for help when one of the girls grabbed scissors. Where are my guards?
Jenna: WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON! Don't hurt my Luna!"
Jenna ran into the group and pushed everyone away.
Jenna: Are you OK? Let me call for an ambulance."
At some point I must have blacked out. When I came too I hear this beeping and some people talking. One voice sounds mad and the other is trying to explain something. My body hurts all over and I am definitely going to be sore.
Jax: Hey baby, I know you are waking up. How are you feeling. The doctor will be here in a moment to talk with us."
I opened my eyes. I tried sitting up and yelped, Jax stands up to help me sit up. At that moment is when the Doctor walked in.
Doctor: Hi Luna, Alpha. How are you feeling? If you need some pain medication, just raise your hand. I will go over your injuries. Overall, you mostly have bruises and some fractures. You do have 2 broken ribs and a broken wrist. Your throat will be sore for a few weeks, it looks like something stabbed you there so you can talk but try to take it easy. I have written the instructions down for your care. For the next week, you only need bed rest and sleep, light exercising. I can write you a doctors note for your employer, but I would see if she has something a little less physical for you to do. Do either of you have any questions?"
We both shake our head.
Jax: Thank you for taking good care of her doctor. When can I take her home?"
Doctor: I would say by tomorrow morning you can, I would like to keep her over night to make sure we didn't miss anything. I do have a question for you Luna. You can mind-link the Alpha correct?"
After I shake my head he continues.
"OK, you can tell him your answer and he can tell me. What exactly happen to you, do you remember anything? We have some footage, but we can't see everything that happened. I know who was involved though."
I could picture everything that happened when the doctor ask me his question, it was like a movie in my mind. I was really emotional. I guess that is normal. I was really scared. Jax looks at me with an awe expression on his face. Which is weird because I haven't told him anything yet.
Jax: You are so special Little One. I know you don't know what just happened. Right now when you thought about what had happened, you actually showed us in our minds."
Wait....what? I can do that? I'm not sure how I did exactly. I just shrug, I'm not sure what to say.
Jax: Do you know who your parents were? It's OK if you don't, we can do some research."
I nodded my head, I am getting sleepy but my throat is starting to burn. I raise my hand and look at the doctor and mind-linked Jax.
Abril: Can I get pain meds and go back to sleep?"
The doctor agrees and leave to get the pain medicine while I close my eyes.
