Chapter 12: The Punishment

He grabs my hand and tells me that i don't have to say anything unless i want to.
Jax: You are my equal. You are never going to disrespect me and are free to do and say anything you want. You can ask questions so you can learn, but their punishment is up to you. I can give you suggestions if that is helpful to you."
Abril: I have never had to punish anyone, so I'm not sure what all I can do, but i promise that I will think of something. Your guidance will be most valuable to me."
Jax: You don't have to be so formal with me Little One. I will guide you and make sure you learn everything that your heart desires. After this meeting I will tell you what else I have done for you."
I smiled and nodded. I wasn't sure what I should say. Jax started leading me to his office. We step inside and i am amazed by what I see. One wall is a giant glass window. It has a very dark tint to it, but I think it is gorgeous. The wall next to it is made up of dark green bookshelves packed with books. I could have fun browsing for sure. In front of the window, is a large desk with some papers scattered on it and a lamp and computer. Then there are two conches facing each other with a little table. On the opposite wall, across from the books, is a massive fireplace. I love this room.
Jax: I will sit at my desk, please sit or stand wherever you would like."
Abril: Is there a place that is more suited for me to be standing?"
Jax: You are so quick. I think that standing behind me will work best. Is that OK?"
I nodded my head. We got into position, and not a few minutes later, we heard someone knocking on the door.
Girl 1: YOOHOO!!! You summoned us, Alpha? I would love to get this party started!"
I frown, Who are these people? Do they have no shame whatsoever? Angel starts to growl in my head.
Abril: Angel, we need to relax and trust our mate to help us. He isn't happy, so please calm down. This is a lot as it is."
Angel seems to hear me out and lies down. She isn't happy, but neither am I.
Jax: SHUT UP AND TREAT ME WITH RESPECT!"
They all stop and look at him. Then they rush to stand in a row and bow to him.
Jax: That is much better. I have never partied with you and would never. Now, do you care to explain what happened this morning?"
Girl 1 is looking at me with pure hate. I do everything I can to keep my face blank.
Girl 1: We don't know what you are talking about sir? We finished our training and were just hanging out until our shifts tonight."
Jax: Is that what you call a good lie? You just gave my MATE the most hateful look! I will ask you one more time, what happened?"
No one says anything but they are barring their necks to his power.
Jax: Well, sine no one will tell me, let me inform you, as you clearly didn't know. We have cameras everywhere with sound. I know what happened and I can't believe you. You hurt MY MATE! I have every right to kill you!. Instead, she will issue your punishment."
All of them gasp and start to grumble. I guess it is my turn.
Angel: You can do this, just stay firm and don't second guess yourself in front of them."
Abril: I have decided what your punishment will be. You will take over as Omegas for this pack in separate areas for 3 months. You have no respect for your fellow pack members, so you will be them until you figure out that they are valued members."
Girl one/Guy 1: YOU CAN'T DO THAT! We have training and other responsibilities."
Jax: You should have thought about that. Your punishments start now. I will get your shifts covered. You will still be expected to train every day, but then you will go to your new assignments. If anything like this happens again, I will banish you from this pack. Now get out!"
All of them, but one guy looks at me with so much hate that it is hard to handle. But I did it! I'm so proud of myself. I hope Jax thinks so! I'm scooped up into the biggest hug.
Jax: You are amazing! That was the perfect punishment and I would never have thought of that! You are my better half and I love you so much!"
He stops and looks down at me in embarrassment. Rubbing the back of his neck.
Jax: I was waiting until the perfect moment to tell you that....."
Abril: I think I love you Jax. I still have a lot of growing to do, but I love you and want you to be there while I do it. Together we will have the strongest pack."
I jumped up and kissed him so hard that I thought our lips would be bruised. He holds me up and takes over. Setting me down on his desk, he continues kissing me, trailing them down my body as I lean back.
Jax: We should stop. You aren't ready. I want everything to be perfect for our first time. How about we go on a date?"
Abril: What is a date? Do I need to do anything to prepare?"
Jax: Yes, but not a lot. I'm not sure how to explain it. I am gonna see if Jenna will help you, because she will take you shopping. I have a lot of work to do. Why don't you two go? Maybe after your first day at work we can go."
He called in Derek and another guy.
Jax: You two are going to be guarding Abril and Jenna, they need to go shopping."
They bow and leave.
Jax: They are getting the car ready and Jenna is on her way down to get you."
He kisses my forehead, here we go.....
