Chapter 5 The Woman Who Snatches His Cigarette

2094 Words
After having a barbecue in the backstreet, they took a taxi to Mic Drop Club for drinking. Sitting in the car, Chadwick was still worried about Noah. "To be honest, you don't really plan to spend hundreds of thousands to buy a car just to get angry with Wyatt, do you?" Noah smiled, "I'm not that stupid. Besides, I don't have a driver's license. If I buy a car, I can only keep it home and can't drive it." Chadwick nodded in relief, took a selfie with his new phone, and posted it on f*******:. When they arrived at the door of Mic Drop Club, Chadwick paid the fare and led them inside. "Wait a minute. I seem to see Wyatt's car." At the back, Ferris saw the black Land Rover Evoque parked at the door at a glance. "Damn it. The bastard is here. Bummer," Alfie said angrily. Chadwick looked at Noah and said, "Why don't we go elsewhere? A new club next door is good. Let's go there." Noah waved his hand. He had heard of people giving way to dogs but had never heard of people being scared away by dog chains. "No worries. Leave him. Let's go." On the way, Chadwick ordered an overnight service. And two cases of beer. They realize they would have little time to get along with each other, making them sad. They kept singing Friends and A Brother's Hug. Seeing they would finish the two boxes of beer, Noah took the opportunity to go to the toilet and ran to the counter in the lobby. "What is the most expensive wine here?" The free beer was terrible. Since they decided to relax, Noah planned to let his friends have a good time. "The price of a single bottle of 21-year-old Royal Salute is 336 dollars. If you buy a one-time package of Salute, we will give you a 30 percent discount on the original price." The girl in the black dress smiled and spoke. "Holy crap! Three hundred and thirty-six dollars?" Noah was really a little surprised. Mic Drop Club mainly targeted students from Southside University. He thought the most expensive drinks were Budweiser and the like. "However, we also have wine packages at other prices for different customers. Here is the price list." Noah didn't check the list but took his phone. "No need. I'll pay." Noah had transferred 20 thousand dollars to his PayPal account in the dormitory in the afternoon. Otherwise, he always felt the saleswoman at the mobile phone counter look at him strangely when he took his bank card. And the girl at the club was uneasy when she saw Noah paid 2, 800 dollars with PayPal. "He looks like a student from Southside University and not a gangster who wants to hook up with women," thought the girl. Payment completed. The girl respectfully handed the receipt to Noah and heard Noah whispering, "Go to room 5555 in a while. Tell them the drink is your complimentary anniversary present. Don't mention me. Understand?" Noah didn't want to build himself into a nouveau riche in front of his roommates. He just wanted to thank his friends and wouldn't overthink. Back at the private room door, he heard Chadwick's hoarse voice. Leaning against the wall, Noah lit a cigarette, took his phone, and sent Evelyn a message. It was already seven thirty in the evening. It would ruin his friends' fun if he left. What was more, he knew his body well. He was fine and didn't have to go to a sanitarium. "Handsome. Can I borrow a fire?" Suddenly, there was a sound of high heels stepping on the marble floor. Even though it was in the noisy club, it was clear. "No!" Noah answered, very depressed. Five girls asked him to borrow a lighter while playing with the phone. "I am not selling lighters. Are all the girls in clubs stingy now?" thought he. "Thanks." While Noah was stunned, a woman stretched her two slender and fair fingers out, pinched the cigarette from his mouth, and put it skillfully in her red lips. Noah turned his head in astonishment, immediately smelling a faint fragrance. Through the dim light, Noah saw the face of the woman, who snatched his cigarette, and trembled in his heart. The woman was around 24 or 25 years old, with a long black shawl and a delicate and charming face. She wore a sexy white shirt, a hip skirt, long black silk legs that raised Noah's blood, and high-heeled shoes. She was a stunner! "You are smoking my cigarette," Noah said in a daze. "Can't I?" Her voice was very charming, as if it could seduce Noah's soul. "Well... It's okay, but it's a little unhygienic..." His eyes wandered between her red lips. Looking at the cigarette butt he had smoked, Noah couldn't help swallowing. "Excuse me?" The stunner didn't hear clearly and asked in doubt. "Nothing. I said you're pretty." Noah coughed hastily to hide his filthiness. The woman glanced at him, stood up straight, and took a deep breath. "Here." Looking at the traces of red lips stained on the cigarette, Noah smiled and smoked it recklessly. For the first time, he smoked a cigarette that a woman smoked. And she was sexy and beautiful. "To your girlfriend?" The woman straightened up, glancing at Noah's Vertu phone with her beautiful eyes. "A friend." "Male or female?" Noah turned his head in surprise. It was the first time a woman accosted him. And she was such a sexy and beautiful stunner. The woman smiled lightly. She took Noah's phone, tapped the screen with her beautiful nails, and handed it back to Noah. "Add me on WhatsApp." "What for?" Noah asked suspiciously. "Sure." The woman snuffed out the cigarette butt in Noah's hand and then flicked it with her fingers. The red light from the cigarette butt drew a beautiful arc in the air and fell to the floor. "Bye. Smoke less. It's bad for your health." The woman stood up straight and walked out in her high heels. Then she stretched out a hand and waved at Noah. Noah thought for a long time before he vaguely understood the meaning of the woman's last word. He hurriedly looked back, not seeing the woman in the corridor. "So strange." Noah returned to the box. It was very lively inside. Ferris and Alfie were having a drinking contest while Chadwick held the bottle and sang Nothing while drinking. And three women sat there, eating fruit and playing with their phones. Seeing Noah back, Alfie rushed to him. "Come on. Noah. Let me introduce you." Alfie warmly embraced Noah's arm and came before the three girls. "This is my sister, Claire Turner. And the other two are her best friends, Aria Nelson, and Hazel Green. They are all from the School of Economics and Management." The School of Economics and Management was famous for beauties. The three girls were all eye-catching. They were tall and well-dressed and used the latest iPhone. Especially, the short girl in the middle was capable and agile. She got big expressive eyes and a petite and cute figure. "Hi, my name is Noah Lopez." Noah smiled and stretched out his hand. The other two girls kept playing with their phones. Only the short girl raised her hand cooperatively and shook hands with Noah. "Hello, my name is Claire Turner. The School of Economics and Management has a party here today, and I happened to meet my cousin. We'll just stay here for a while." After the polite greetings, they did their own things in the box. If it weren't for Claire, Aria and Hazel couldn't stay there for a minute. Noah knew Alfie had good intentions. He wanted to introduce him to the beauties from the School of Economics and Management to help him move on quickly. But judging from the current situation, the three beauties obviously didn't intend to waste their time on them. "I heard Mr. Wyatt is in a supreme private room on the third floor tonight. There is no charge for School of Economics and Management students with free drinks." Aria browsed f*******: and showed a picture to Hazel beside her. "Mr. Wyatt is the richest man in our school." Hazel's eyes showed envy. "It's a pity that Eleanor took the lead. Otherwise, I won't worry about my job after graduation. With many real estate hotels in his family, it would be great to become Mrs. Wyatts." "Shhh. Softly. Noah seems to be Eleanor's ex-boyfriend. I heard she has cheated on him for a long time, but he has no idea." Aria pointed at Noah, who was playing with his phone. "Why are you afraid?" Hazel pouted, "He can't even keep his girlfriend. What kind of man is he? Besides, he's a loser. If I were Eleanor, I would cheat on him sooner or later." "Enough," Claire frowned. "He's my cousin's roommate. It'll be terrible if you are heard." "Anyway, you brought us here. You know what your cousin means. Since you're so thoughtful, why don't you be Noah's girlfriend? We have no interest in losers." Aria didn't say the last word with a loud sound. But Chadwick cut off the song at the same time. The box became quiet suddenly. Alfie blushed, feeling at a loss with the dice in his hand. Claire looked at Noah in embarrassment, as if her eyes said sorry. In fact, it was the first time she saw Noah. She learned his name when her roommates gossiped about Wyatt in the past two days. She wondered why he could bear someone stealing his girlfriend and pretending to be careless as a man. But judging from Noah's unresponsive expression, he was not very good. "I apologize to you on Aria's behalf. She was wrong. But as a man, I hope you can take on a man's responsibility. Don't mind her." Claire picked up a can of beer that had just been opened and stood before Noah, implying. Aria and Hazel were immediately reluctant when they heard that. Aria stood up, "Apologize to him? Why?" Hazel looked at Noah with contempt, "You, a man, even care about this kind of stuff? She cuckolded you. Why couldn't I say it?" "Please!" Claire turned her head, annoyed. It was the first time she had doubts about her social circle. "It doesn't matter." Noah smiled and looked at Claire. It was the first time Claire to see him. But every male student at Southside University, including Noah, knew Claire. Although Claire was not a school beauty, she had a petite body and a face as cute as a porcelain doll. She was usually dressed in a solid preppy style, which aroused all the boys' desire for protection and machismo. She was not the school belle but enjoyed better treatment than the school belle. Seeing Noah's fake smile, Claire frowned. "To be honest, a man's generosity should be limited, especially on some sensitive issues, such as women and parents." "And you got nothing I can appreciate. I think you are disgusting and hypocritical." "If this is the real you, then forget about what I said before. I'll take half a glass of wine and pretend we've never met." Claire drank half of the beer, wiped the corners of her mouth, and looked at Noah provocatively. Noah was a stranger to her. She didn't want to persuade him but despised him. If her boyfriend were like him, it would kill her. "That's right. I heard Mr. Wyatt walk past Noah with Eleanor in his arms this afternoon in the Fortune Building. Noah didn't dare to say anything. He's a coward. Don't waste your breath," Aria said gloatingly. A coward? "If I take my girlfriend out to dinner and run into a hooligan whistling, what do you think I'd do?" Noah thought for a while and said lightly. But his gaze was still on Claire. After hearing Noah's words, Aria turned her head to look at Hazel. Obviously, she didn't expect Noah to see that suddenly. "You? What else can you do besides flee away after sucking the hooligan up?" Aria said sarcastically. Noah shook his head, "No. I will work hard to make money and take her to the best restaurant for dinner." Hearing Noah's answer, Claire showed a look of disappointment. Could a man be so cowardly? But she still sighed and asked, "Why?" Noah's gaze lightly swept over Aria and Hazel. "Because there won't be a hooligan there."
