The sound of whispering voices was the first thing that was brought to my attention after being attacked. My eyes flung open, and panic set in immediately. Tears streamed down my face, blurring my vision. Where was I? What happened? Are my pups okay?
At the very second, things began to become clear, as I was engulfed by two strong arms, bringing the familiar tingles of the mate bond, and the incredible scent of my mate. One voice stood out above the rest, “It is okay, my love. You are safe. I am here.”
