The following morning, I was sat by Alexandra, as she laid unconscious in the hospital bed. I have been sitting in this chair since I had the shower after bringing her to the hospital. She hadn’t woken up yet. I think I fell asleep for a short while, but only while I was holding her hand. I wanted her to be able to feel me the moment she woke up, so I would hold her hand as much as I could. Last night, when the ultrasound was done to check on our pup, Jules said she could see two heart beats, which would mean two pups. I was so thrilled, but I didn’t want anyone else to know. I swore Jules to secrecy until I could tell Alexandra myself. There had never been twin firstborn Alpha pups before in our family. My grandfather had twin brothers, but he was the firstborn Alpha.
