I had honestly never slept so well, and it was all because of my little mate, who was now sleeping partially on me. Part way through the night, she began having what I can only assume was a nightmare, especially by what she said in her sleep. I could barely hear it, but whatever it was she was begging for someone to stop hurting another woman. I wished I could see what she saw, so I could have helped her. I wanted to be her hero. For the first time in my life, I wanted to rescue and be the hero for a woman, and not just any woman but this woman laying in my arms. That might just be the mate bond talking, but it feels right completely right.
