His Perfect Warrior

Zarina Screams. All I heard was screaming from my hiding spot. Our pack was being attacked my rogues, and as soon as they got closer to our home my mother told me to hide. So I did. I just turned 13 just gotten my wolf Scarlett. And now we were under attack and I was helpless. I hated this feeling. I covered my ears to try and drown out the screams but it was no use. Hours went by and the screaming finally stopped. I got out of my hiding spot and went to see the damage. As soon as I got outside, I saw my father holding someone in his arms on the ground. Please don’t be mom. I said to myself as I walked up. But sure enough I was right. My mother was dead. Present day I let out a sigh as I braided my long black hair. “Well today is the day. The day Alpha picks new guards.” I said to myself in the mirror as my phone rings. “Hello?” “Good morning my little peanut.” “Dad I’m not so little any more.” I said and rolled my eyes. “You will always be little to me. I just called to wish you good luck! I have no doubts you will be picked you have been training and working for this since..” he trailed off. “Since mom died. I know. Thank you Dad.” I said with a sigh. “I love you Zarina. Call me when it’s over.” He said and hung up before I could say anything. Dad wasn’t much for emotions since mom died. I shoved my phone in my pocked grabbed my keys and walked out the door of my small apartment. The Alpha built apartments within the territory for warriors, omegas, and pretty much anyone who was single and not allowed to live in the pack house. Since that was for Gammas and up. And the Alphas personal guards and head of the guards. I walked over to the training grounds since I lived close to it. I was one of the first ones there, but also the only female. The head of the guards Antonio picked me out of the other female warriors. He said to our trainer that I had high potential. Once we were all there we were told to all stand in a line until the Alpha showed up. I have never met the Alpha, I’ve only heard that he is a pretty levelheaded guy and easy to get along with. He stayed far away so I couldn’t really tell what he looked liked just that he was tall. After we all did the obstacle course, we were told to stand back in a line and face the Alpha. I stood there hands behind my back and eyes straight a head. When all of a sudden the wind changed and I caught the most amazing scent. It smelled like rain with a small hint of cedar. MATE! Scarlet was screaming in my head. But I couldn’t move from my position right now to see where it was coming from. Seriously now? Yes! I can’t move Scarlet you know this. I know but the moment that we can we must find mate. Agreed. I mean she wasn’t wrong we just couldn’t do anything about it right now. The Alpha was about to be in front of me. But that smell kept getting stronger. Who could it be? There was lots of other pack members here that I have never met before it could be anyone. Then all of a sudden I figured it out and the Alpha was right in front of me. No way. This is a joke right? I thought to my self. He just looked at me and I saw his eyes shift into a different color. I knew he was feeling the same thing as me. He stood there a few seconds longer before shaking his head, pinching the bridge of his nose, and moving forward. After the Alpha had left, we all headed back to our homes to change. The Alpha would send for us individually if we were chosen. Scarlet was still screaming in my head that we needed to find him. I kept ignoring her because I didn’t want to ruin my chances at becoming one of his guards. Once I got home Antonio was in front of my door. “Zarina Black, you are here by requested to meet with the Alpha.” “Oh, uh could I at least shower and change?” “No ma’am the Alpha would like to see you now. Please come with me.” He said and turned to walked away. Well s**t I smell don’t even look attractive and the alpha wants to see me. I thought to myself then Scarlet interrupted my thoughts. I mean after all she can hear them too. Girl shut up. You know that the mate bond is strong and that he will see your beauty. Yea that’s if he accepts us. I mean we aren’t ranked or anything we are just a warrior. Shut up and have confidence! And with that she sank back into my mind. Once we approached the pack house I was in awe at how beautiful it was. Our pack was in the west but more north western America, the pack house was this huge log cabin. On the outside it was at least 6 stories high. Had most perfect rustic appeal to it. But on the inside, it was super elegant and classy. It had marble floors in the parts that I was walking through anyways. There was pictures of past Alphas, Lunas, Betas and more. It was absolutely beautiful. Once we reached the Alphas office, Antonio knocked. There was a moment of silence before we heard someone say enter. As soon as the door opened my nose was flooded with that amazing scent. I inhaled deep and slowly let it out in hopes to enjoy the smell. As we walked in Alpha stood up. “ Please sit.” He said and motioned his hand to the chair. I bowed my head and sat. I kept it there because I was super nervous. “ Thank you Antonio.” He said as he walked Antonio out of the office, closed the door and locked it. Ok now I was even more nervous. He came over and sat in the chair in front of me. “Zarina, please lift your head.” He said in the deepest and sexiest voice I have ever heard. I had forgotten that my head was still bowed. I lifted it to meet his gaze. His eyes were a beautiful forest green. His hair was almost black and slicked back. He had some stubble on his face. But his eyes were the most hypnotic pair of eyes I have ever seen. He had tattoos on his forearms, from what I could see. I saw that some of them crept up onto his neck. He was absolutely handsome. I just wanted to get lost in his eyes. “I’m sure you understand why you are here. Do you?” He said breaking my thoughts. “Yes Alpha.” “Please call me Jake.” “ Yes Al..I mean Jake” my cheeks flamed. “ Well, let’s get right to it. I have chosen you to be one of my personal guards. But not just a guard, the head of my personal security.” He said calm and cool. But I was trying so hard not to jump up and down. “ Thank you so much for the amazing opportunity.” I said we a smile. “There is one more thing we must address.” He said as he moved his chair closer to me. “Yes?” “I believe you know what I am going to say, but I’m going to say it anyways.” s**t here it comes. Rejection. The smile immediately left my face. “I, Jacob Shawn O’Hare, Alpha of Blood Moon accept you Zarina Louise Black as my mate.” Holy s**t! He what? I couldn’t even form words my jaw just hung there in shock. “I thought you might react that way.” He said now standing and moving towards me. “Let me explain why. I did some research on you before I called you into my office. Mostly because I did want to choose you to be my guard. But also because I found out we were mates at the training field. I know you felt it too I could see it in your eyes.” He said now kneeling in front of me. “ I..I don’t even know what to say.” He moved forward and took my hands into his. Instantly sending tingles up my arms. I shivered at the feeling of it. “Zarina, I am almost 26 and have been looking for my mate since I was 17. I am willing to do whatever I need to do to win you over if you aren’t comfortable with something please just tell me.” His eyes were so sincere and practically begging for me to say yes. “Alpha. s**t, sorry I mean Jake. I am always a little hesitant with things like this. I will accept you, but I’m still going to make you work for it. I always play hard to get.” I said with a seductive tone. “As you wish, Zarina.” He said and bowed his head. The Alpha. Bowed his head. To me of all people. Jake I kept my head bowed for a moment. Proving to this beautiful woman that I was devoted to her. As I lifted my head to meet her gaze, I inhaled her amazing scent. Smelled of roses and honey. Once my eyes met hers I got lost in them for a moment. They were the deepest blue I have ever seen. And with her hair as black as a raven it made them stand out even more. It took all of my strength not to kiss her. My wolf Shilo wanted nothing more than to mate right here right now. Kiss her. Take her. No. We need to take it slow. I don’t know anything about her. He didn’t answer, just growled. I stood up and held out my hand to her. “I have more business to attend to. I assume you would like to shower and change. Am I correct?” I said calmly. “Yes. But I would like to talk more about this." She said as she looked into my eyes. "Of course. Could you come back around 7 tonight? I should have all of my work done by then. Then we can discuss anything you would like to." “Ok, I will be here at 7 on the dot." She said as she stood. I moved out of her way. I watched her walk to the door of my office. She was about 5 feet 9 inches tall, and curvy. Toned, but still curvy. My eyes locked onto her ass as she walked for a moment. s**t I would love to just grab a handful of it, but I need to take things at her pace. I don't want to scare her after all. Once she got to the door she turned around to me and bowed her head out of respect. “Thank you Zarina. But if you accept me, you do not need to bow to me." All she did was nod her head and then left. I let out a huge sigh and then walked back to my desk.
