********** The next day at school, Lory went to class as usual, but something changed. She could feel a greater l**t from Zac eyes behind her, the boy was getting on her nerves after a joint chemical compounds class, she approached him instead, she dragged him to a corner where they wouldn't be seen. "Zac, cut it!" She warned with hard eyes on him. "What am I doing wrong, I didn't tell anyone." Zac raised is hands in form of a surrender. "Your eyes are telling millions of people." Lory rolled her eyes, bellying the fear that she felt. "Calm down girl, I thought you would like it if I stared at you naughtily." Zac smirked, he straightened up and wore his jacket right to compose a bad boy aura. Lory rolled her eyes in frustrated irritation at his behavior. "What do you think you're doing?" Lory asked with irritation laced in her voice as Zac walked closer to her and came close enough until they were breathing the same air. "I thought you like bad boys, I want to be every thing that you like." Zac whispered into her ears. He pulled himself from her ears and made to be in her face until Lory was sure that outsiders would think they were kissing. "I won't be the one you'll blame for your bad influence." Lory pushed him back but he didn't move, his chest was firm, despite being a nerd. "No, but ya the one that brings out the man in me." Zac grinned like he just gave his best line. Lory rolled her eyes again, very tired of his behavior. "You're a nerd Zac, not everyone likes nerds" Lory didn't know why she was still there arguing with Zac, but she felt she needed to clear this out with him and get his head straight. She has also decided that she needed to be mean. Whatever she had said hadn't hurt him because he shook his head slowly and said, "Babe, after last night I did alot of thinking about my life and finally I stepped out of my hole." He swallowed and Lory watched his Adam apple go up and down. "I'm a nerd just because I don't talk to a lot of people and I get straight A's, but that doesn't mean I want to always be quiet, I'm going to become me, still get straight A's as usual but I want to live, please help me live, it's not like I like the live I was living, Lorelei." Zac finally let out the breath he was holding. Lory was shocked, she looked at Zac and saw the weakness and sincerity in his eyes, true he was really a shy, weird person and all but he might actually be something more than that. She suddenly felt like she wanted to see that. Lory sighed and looked back up at him "So, what do you want from me?" "I just want to be friends with you." Zac begged, he pouted like a little kid begging his mama not to leave. "You're a pain in my ass." Lory rolled her eyes, but Zac's heart leapt with joy when he saw a little smile in Lory's face. "I know, but you're a relief in my a*s too." Zac shrugged feeling happier than ever. "Hell no, I don't want to be in your ass." Lory said as they walked through the hall way together. "But I'd love to remain in yours. " Zac smiled like a cat with cream. "f**k off!" Lory chuckled, she was no longer irritated by his declarations. Lory felt better, although the out come of the discussion wasn't what she has planned, but Zac seems like he could need a friend so she accepted to be his friend. "Just so you know, this will be mutual, you'll study with me and make me get better grades, while I'll teach you how to be bold and all." Lory said as though she hadn't just gotten out of her shell due to her work at the club. "Anything for you ma'am." Zac pretended to bow a little. "Call me ma'am again and I'll make you walk all the way to your house." Lory opened her car door and entered, putting everything in her hands on the backseat before she pulled out her keys from a slot in her bag. "I'll just shut up then." Zac replied as he sat down and pulled his seatbelt. "Is your sister home?" Lory asked "Yes, she should be, she didn't say she was going anywhere." Zac replied, nodding his head to the Taylor swift song playing from the radio. "Okay, I'll say hi before I leave." Lory found out that the girls were not bad people, though she wanted to get to know them more before making a conclusive decision. When she reached Zac's house she turned off the engine and came down together with the nerd. "Lory?" Brooke called from near the porch of the house. "Hello." Lory smiled, waving happily at Brooke. They walked to where Brooke was watering the flowers, she dropped the can she was holding loftily and hugged Lory. Lory looked at Brooke who was fully made-up, her hair in a scarf and away from her face in suspicion. She had no intention of calling her out on it and only told her she wouldn't be staying long. "Hey, you helped my brother with a ride?" Brooke asked, a brow raised in question. "Wish it was the other kind of riding?" Zac said from behind the girls in a cheeky manner that was very unlike him. They both rolled their eyes and returned to the discussion at hand. "Yea, saw him on my way back from somewhere." Lory lied, although it was not entirely a lie. She didn't understand why she needed to lie. "Thanks." Brooke smiled and walked them into the quaint house with modern furnishings that looked like it came from a t****k trained decorator, nevertheless it was so good. "I'm not going to stay, I just wanted to say hello for a moment." Lory said out loud, watching as Brooke's face crumpled. "Ohh please, have a drink with me, I've been so lonely." Brooke pleaded with her doe eyes that had people doing whatever she wanted. Lory sent her a shuttered look before she nodded and turned to find a seat. "Why are you even wearing makeup by this time of the day, in your own house?" Lory took a seat on one of the living room single chairs. It was draped with a soft blanket from Fendi and smelled very nice, just like the rest of the house. Lory was quite tempted to ask about the scent, so she could use it at her own apartment she was now making into a home. "So you agree?" Brooke jiggled in one place with joy, she was the very playful type. "You didn't answer my question?" Lory eyed her suspiciously, causing Brooke to shake her head with a smile. "You like gossip huh?" Brooke chortled happily, "I'd be right back, let me get us something to drink, would you like some raspberry sweet tea?" "Just give me warm water, it's too cold to be high on sugar." Lory shouted so the rushing girl would hear her, but knowing how Brooke behaved, she would bring only the raspberry tea, she liked doing things her own way. "Just watching you and my sister converse, I feel jealous. You've never spoken to me like this." Zac said quietly, he reached the bottom of the stairs and moved closer to Lory's seat. "Ohh you're here, I thought you went to your room?" Lory asked with a light frown. The frown was borne from the last words of his sentence, she just didn't have the answer to them. "Am I so boring that you couldn't even notice me gone?" Zac asked sadly, he shook his head in melancholy. Lory frowned again, this time in her heart, Zac was proving to be exactly what she thought of all men, manipulative. "Well yes, I guess." She hit him with the truth, no need to sugar coat things. "I didn't mean you should answer Lory, I knew you will sass me." Zac walked closer to where she was seating down. "What?" Lory asked the sad looking boy as he stood tall in front of her. "I got really horny by just watching you laugh." He used his thumb to rub over Lory's lips softly and slowly, for some reason, Lory wanted to push him off, but he was literally her only friend, so she gently pushed his hand off her lips. It should have felt right, but it didn't, so she didn't feel bad pushing him off. "Get the hell away from my friend, weirdo." Brooke walked in on the situation of her brother's obvious erection printing his jeans, and Lory oblivious to the size of it. Zac groaned, he felt frustrated as he quickly walked out of the living room with long strides and fast steps.
