Jericho’s POV I moved swiftly through the darkened streets, my pulse steady, but my mind racing. For some reason, the night felt like it had stretched unnaturally long and terrifying as the the sky painted in deep hues of red. The Blood Moon stood high in the sky and yet the city hums with awe, oblivious to what's actually at stakes. The moment I heard Aloura's voice, I knew that nothing good will be struck but Jeramaine had already made up his mind. I could see it in his stance, the way his fingers curled into fists, his jaw tight with quiet resolve. He would give up everything to save Oriana. And Aloura—she had been waiting for this. I didn't have time to linger. I would imagine that Aloura had planned for Oriana and Jeramaine to be bound to the same fate as Queen Helios and King Luc
