Allison is outside when I finally get home. She doesn’t seem to be doing anything, just staring out into the night. It reminds me of the nights she would leave the apartment to go for a run. Sometimes, she didn’t come back until dawn. Landon always seemed anxious when she did that. I now knew why.   “Allison,” Jake says, squinting his eyes, “why is she out?”   “She likes staring at the moon sometimes,” I answer, unbuckling my seatbelt, “says it calms her or something.”   “Hmm.” He furrows his brows. “Maybe we should try that.”   “Are you sure staring at the moon would calm us?”   “It might be something you might not know until you try.” He leans forward and fixates his gaze on the moon.
