Chapter 22 (Sienna)

1305 Words
Sienna’s POV Waking up this morning, I feel like a got run over by a truck. I only had a few hours of sleep. Soundless hours, but still, they weren’t enough. I still have that weird feeling all over my body. I can’t figure out why. Take a shower, might help you wake up and feel refreshed. You’re right. I should get ready if I want to be at school early enough to spend extra time with Lucas. You know you’re blushing, right? No, I’m not! Shut up! I shut her out and get into the shower. I can actually wash my hair this morning. Which feels amazing! I wash rinse repeat a few times. Felt like my hair had a pound of dirt. Dry shampoo is great once in a while, but there’s nothing like washing your hair with real shampoo. The bruises and scars on my face are looking much better today! The silver my mother injected me with and the blades she uses on me to make me weak must be wearing off. I do feel much better. Not as lightheaded as I usually do. Feeling not so ugly, I decide on not wearing a hoody today. Maybe I could make myself look cute for Lucas? Looking through my closet, I don’t have that much pretty cloth. I don’t have much clothing period! I finally decide to go with a plain white long sleeve V-neck and a pair of blue jeans. I dry and straighten my hair and put on light makeup. Looking at myself in the mirror after I’m done, I kind of feel pretty. I don’t even remember last time I did feel pretty! Must be because of Lucas. I want to be better for him. For myself too. I’m staring, slowly, to believe my mother might be wrong about my mate. I don’t know why my father left her, left us, so many years ago. I still don’t understand what I ever did for her to hate me so much. But I’m starting to think that not all mate will reject you if you have issues. Lucas sure doesn’t seem like he’s going anywhere anytime soon. Can I really have my happily ever after with him? I sure hope so! Taking a finale look at myself, I feel satisfied with the results. I pick up my bag and head downstairs. Taking a few containers, I prepared with fruits and veggies from the kitchen, I’m finally ready to head to school. I hope Lucas gets there early too. Heading out the door, I turn to lock it. But when I head for the stair, something catches my eyes. What is Lucas doing here, in front of my house, so early in the morning?  He’s leaning on the side of his truck, sipping on a cup of coffee, waiting for me. Seeing me walk toward him, he pushes himself off and grabs something inside the passenger window. When I get next to him, he hands me a warm cup. “Black Earle Grey tea with a spoon of honey, right?”  He remembered how you like your tea! Awww, He really is the best mate! Brianna is so right! I really am the luckiest she-wolf in Black-Crescent pack, that’s for sure! “I can’t believe you remembered, thank you!” I say to him, taking the sup in my hand. “Anything for my beautiful mate!” He says, giving me the sweetest kiss on the cheek, making me blush a little. “What are you doing here so early in the morning?” I ask. “Not that I don’t want to see you or anything, but I didn’t expect to see you as soon as I got out the door” I say a bit more panicked than I should be. “I just couldn’t wait until we both got to school to see you. So, I taught, why not just pick you up, grab some breakfast and spend a little more time together before classes start. Last night was great. I love spending time with you. Getting to know you better.” He says, looking at me in the eyes, then from head to toe. “You look beautiful by the way. Not that you usually don’t, but today… I don’t know, you look… more confident. And dam, it’s sexy!” He tells me, winking at the same time. “I…hummm…Thanks…” I say shyly, taking a sip of my tea to distract myself and try not to blush for the millionth time! “We’ve got like 2 hours before classes start, where do you want to go?” Where do I want to go? I’m so not used to having the right to speak my mind, I don’t even know what to say. “I already have breakfast in the truck, want to go to the parc again? It’s not that far from school.” He says. He must have noticed the lost look on my face and tried to make it less awkward for me, giving a suggestion. “Sound great!” I say with a relieved smile on my face. He takes my hand, kisses the corner of my lips, pulling me toward the truck. “After you, my lovely,” he says, opening the door for me. I smile and hop in. The smell of freshly baked cheese croissant hits my nose. Humm, they smell really good. Brianna says, drooling and licking her snout. Spending time with Lucas, makes me forget the miserable life I have. The life before I met him, of course. When we arrive at the parc, there’s not many people. Good. I feel more at ease with less people around. Less chance of my mother finding out. We eat our cheese croissant and talk about everything and anything. I even learned that he used to sleep in Hulk pajama pants and paint his face green to look like him! I wish I could have seen this. Must have been really funny! “We should start heading to school if we don’t want to be late,” I tell him. Time flies by so fast when you’re having a good time. He suddenly gets up straight, looking at me. “Oh! I just remembered. I have to ask you something.” A little worried from the sudden change, I ask “What is it?” “Can I get your phone number? I wanted to text you when I got home last night, but I realized I never even asked for it! I’m such an i***t!” He says laughing out loud. Goddess, he’s got a sexy, manly laugh! “You’re not an i***t. I didn’t ask for yours either. Here, give me your phone.” Taking his phone, I light it up, but only to look straight onto my own face. He’s got a picture of me for his background! When the hell did he take a picture of me? I look from him to his phone a few times, still chocked at seeing my picture on his phone background. He smiles shyly grabbing my free hand. “I hope you don’t mind. You just looked so amazingly beautiful reading at lunch the other day, I couldn’t help myself.” He says with a timid smile on his face. He took my picture at lunch yesterday!? I never even noticed! I must have been very concentrated on my book. “I-it’s ok, I just didn’t expect it.” Taking back his phone, I put in my contact information. “Here you go.” Giving him his phone back again. He takes mine and does the same. “Ok, let’s go before we’re late.” He grabs my hand and leads me back to his truck. I really like him holding my hand. It feels natural now. Arriving at school, Amy and Mike are close by the doors. When she spots us coming her way, she jumps up and down in excitement: “I’m so excited you're coming to the fall with us tonight!!” She practically squeals saying this. “And it’s only a half school day, do you know what this means?!” From the look Lucas and Mike exchange, I’m not sure I’ll like what she’s about to say… “What does it mean?” I ask worriedly. “We’re going SHOPPING!!!” Oh s**t, what have we got ourselves into!?
