Avery's POV
" Chiku, do it fast yaar. You are pissing us now. " Jayden asked me looking completely annoyed as I was busy selecting cake for the festival.
" Give me few minutes, Bro. I am just a little bit confused among them. " I told him.
" Yeah, you are confused since last two hours. I don't understand why you girls take so much time in taking decisions. " Ryan mocked me rubbing his fingers on his temples.
" Huh.. Because we girls don't take any decision in rush unlike you boys. " I replied him sarcastically.
" Got it. " I chirped choosing a chocolate truffle filled with fresh strawberries cake.
" Finally... Thank you God. Thank you so much for saving these two poor souls from this scorching heat and her torture. " Ryan screamed looking towards the sky.
" Thank you God. " I mimicked him poking out my tongue towards him and stomped his foot with my heels making my way outside the shop.
" Ahh.. " I heard him screaming in pain and left the shop not before muttering them to come outside.
" Bro, I think I lost my scarf on my way. Let me just go and check till then you start the car. " I informed Jayden as he and Ryan were moving towards the car in the parking lot.
" But come fast, Chiku " He warned me placing his hand on my shoulder. I nodded and hurriedly went on my way to the shop.
" Oh God, Where had I lost it? " I cursed myself umpteenth time while searching for my scarf.
I was busy looking for it here and there but was unable to find it. So, I thought to stop finding it. As I was going back towards my car I heard a loud noise of a band playing and thumping some musical instruments.
Unable to stop myself I also joined them dancing and swirling my body on the beats of the drums.
DANCE... This is the only thing which keeps me sane when my whole body becomes out of control. Whenever I feel like there is nobody who can help me, listen to me or understand me I start dancing and humming the lyrics of the song.
Sometimes, I feel like people think that there is something which I am oblivious to but they always forget that everybody in this world is oblivious to something or the other.
As I was busy dancing on the beats of the song my gaze fell on my scarf which was lying near somebody's feet. I stopped swirling and bent down to pick that. When I was about to stand I felt a hand on my hair but when I was going to see his face I heard sound of a loud horn.
" Oh! s**t " I forgot both of them were waiting for me and hurriedly went towards our car.
" Ava, What the hell is this? You told us that you were going to search for your scarf and here you are dancing on the road. Your mom is calling us again and again asking us about your whereabouts. Come fast. " Ryan yelled coming outside of the car.
" Sholly " I apologised them and soon we rushed towards our home.
At 2 p.m
" Baby, What is this in your head?" Mom asked me pulling me towards her.
" What Mom? " I questioned.
" Where has this vermilion come from in your head? " She asked me messing my hair. Her face became pale and she started removing that vermilion from my head.
" I don't know, Mum. Maybe when I was dancing with the crowd outside the shop somebody by mistake put it on my hair. " I justified myself scratching the back of my neck.
" Go and take a bath. Remove it fast, okay? " She ordered me and I nodded like an obedient kid.
After taking a relaxing warm shower I came out of the washroom rubbing my hair with a towel. Everything went well today. When I was not here I always craved to celebrate festivals with my family, but due to my studies and my Dadda it never happened. I don't understand why, but he never let me come here in these two years. Whenever there was vacation in my college, my family came to meet me at my place but they never let me come here. I am not complaining but still I wonder why they are so mysterious.
" Ma'am, Mr. Jones is calling you downstairs. He was saying it's very urgent. " One of my maids came to inform me.
" What does he want to talk now? " I wondered. Shrugging my thoughts I rushed towards his room.
" Yo Dadda, You called me. What is so urgent? " I chirped sitting beside him on the couch.
" Chiku, few days ago you had promised me something. Remember?" He asked me raising his eye brows.
"About what? " I questioned him being totally confused.
" That if I let you work with Caleb Wilson then you will give me whatever I will ask you. " He explained me placing his hands on my hands.
" Oh! That one. Yup, I remember. " I replied.
" So, Time has come to fulfill my wishes. I just want three promises from you.
First, You will always obey Ryan and respect his decisions as we all know you are a damsel in distress and will never ask him the reason behind it because I know one thing for sure that he is one of those rarest diamonds who will safeguard you even at the cost of selling himself.
I know dadda loves him like he is his own son but obeying his every decision is way too much for me. I can already imagine the evil smirk on his face when he will come to know about it.
Second, You will never share your medical history with anyone, not even about your mental condition.
Ouch.. Now, that hurts. No, I am not mad but dadda he doesn't understand me. Why he always think that I am not mentally stable?
The last and the most important promise is.... " Dadda told me breaking my heart with every single sentence he spoke.
