I had only been awake for a few minutes when I heard Alexandria's melodic voice come through our mink link saying, 'Brady, I'm at the Pine Tree Pack. Liam is in bad shape, so I will probably stay a few days.'
Right away, I linked back, 'What do you mean by a few days? I hate you being so far away from me. I miss you.'
It was a few seconds before I got a response, then I heard her say, 'I'm not sure. I'll let you know later.'
I could hear the weakness in her voice, and that immediately gave me cause for concern, so I tried to mind link her back to ask if she was okay, but she put a wall up that I couldn't break through no matter how hard I tried. Of course, that only elevated my level of concern.
