Chapter Six
Miss Hannah had called Rosie and Dawn in to see her, but hadn’t said why. The girls were a little nervous. They hoped they hadn’t done anything wrong; Miss Hannah could be a very strict disciplinarian.
Miss Hannah smiled as they stood in front of her, their apprehension displayed on their faces. “Don’t look so scared, girls. It’s good news. At least, I hope so.”
The girls both shifted from one foot to the other, waiting. Rosie had long dark hair, and deep brown eyes, usually with a serious look. Dawn was blonde and blue-eyed, and inclined to be giggly.
