The great abyss

" Yuri, are you prepared?". Yuri's father shouted from outside the house. Yuri heard his father so he quickly carried his bag and belongings as he head toward the car that was waiting for him outside. "What took you so long?". Yuri's mother asked the moment yuri got in the car. "Sorry i took so long". " It's alright, i hope you didn't forget anything". Yuri's mother said to him. "Nope, i brought everything with me". "So lets get going". Yuri's father said and started the car then he drove up. 'another travel, am really sick of this'. Yuri said in his thought and then he sighed. Travelling from one place to another is something i and my parents do all the time. For some reason i dont understand we usually travel alot, sometimes we barely stay in a particular place for a month and we will travel again. I dont know if it's my parents that likes travelling or if there is something i lack knowledge about. Anyways i just try to ignore everything and enjoy my time as i see new places. "We have arrived at our destination". Yuri's father said with excitement after five long hours of driving. "This house is beautiful". Yuri's mother said looking happy. 'The house is beautiful and big i have to admit but why is the house deserted in a forest alone where there isnt people?'. Yuri wondered. "You both love places with less or no people, right?". Yuri asked his parent grumpily. "Oh come on, we will get to be alone as a happy family in this place and there is no one around to disturb us". Yuri's mother replied back. "I dont think the matter is that you dont like to be disturbed by others, its like you are afraid of people or something like that". Yuri's father looked at yuri through the mirror and said. "No, we arent afraid of people, We just love quiet places". Yuri frowned and said. "Thats what make you two a perfect couple, you two are thesame". "Whats wrong, are you jealous?". Said yuri's father with a teasing smile. "Its enough the both of you, lets get in the house". Yuri's mother said, stopping the chat. They packed their belongings and head inside the house. Due to the fact that they travel alot yuri and his parents dont pack much, they only carry clothes and other stuffs that are necessary and leave everything else behind. Yuri always wondered why they do that and why they normally ask him to pack little of his belongings while he can take his time and pack more of his stuffs. Sometimes he feels like they are fugitives. After yuri and his parent entered the house, they all open their mouth in awe. The house was very beautiful from inside morethan how it was from outside. "I will take any bedroom in the second floor". Yuri said to his parents with excitement. "All our bedrooms will be in the second floor, so easy tiger". Yuri's father said to him. "That will leave nobody in the first floor though". Yuri said. "Thats true, but we will mostly spend our time here in the first floor while in the night we will sleep in our rooms in the second floor". Yuri's mother said to yuri. Yuri knew his mother is right, the sitting room, dining area and the kitchen are all in the first floor, so yes they will definitely spend more time in the first floor morethan the second. Yuri went to his room in the second floor and dropped his bags. Their journey lasted for five hours, he wasn't the one that drove the car but he felt exhausted. Yuri laid his back on his bed with his eyes open for some minutes when his mother knocked the door of his room. "Yuri are you in there?". Called out the voice of Yuri's mother. "Yes am here". Yuri's mother opened the door to his room with a smile. "Come down to the dining table in ten minutes, am preparing something for us to eat". "Let me guess, it must be noodles". "Yes, we are all hungry so i thought i should cook something simple". "I will be there in ten minutes". Yuri's mother closed the door to yuri's room and as she turned to leave, yuri's father climbed up the steps as he came close to her. "Hinata, have you seen my pen". Yuri's father asked looking worried. "You mean your favorite pen?. I have no idea". Hinata said and shook her head. "Dont tell me i forgot to bring it with me". Yuri's father said looking sad. "Its just a pen, you can always buy a new one". Hinata said as she walked away. "Izumi sawada, be at the dining table in ten minutes please". Hinata said to yuri's father as she left. Yuri heard his parents little chat while he was still lying on his bed. 'I don't feel like staying in here, i guess i should check out the forest'. Yuri stood up from his bed and went out of his room and he headed downstairs. He went to the kitchen where his mom was currently in. "Am going outside for a while, i will be back before you finish cooking". "Alright but don't go far". Yuri left the house as he started walking in the forest. I have to admit that the forest looks beautiful, i hope there isnt snakes around though. We are away from hospitals, so if a snake was to bite me, things will be bad. Yuri was walking with caution when an eagle landed on his shoulder. Yuri stopped walking as he looked at the eagle. He knows this eagle, he had always known him because for some unknown reason this eagle follows him everywhere he goes even though he never came this close to him before. I can tell he is following me since i travelled alot with my parents and i find this eagle watching me from a distance anywhere i go. I wonder why though?. "Hey little fellow, its you again". Yuri said and smiled at the eagle. The eagle jumped from yuri's shoulder and landed on the ground. He then drew symbols using his claws. I was so suprised. Are eagles this smart or is it only this one?. Also i never saw this symbols my whole life but i could read them and understood what they meant. It says, the third piece of the tablet is nearby. What is going on here?, Which tablet are we even talking about?. And this eagle, what is he really?.  I could remember a year ago, i could have sworn i heard this eagle talked to me, i dont know if i was hallucinating but i was sure i heard a voice from this eagle. "What tablet are you talking about?". Yuri asked the eagle. The eagle flew away and yuri started running after him. "Wait, come back". Yuri shouted as he started running after the eagle Yuri followed the eagle for ten minutes reaching deep inside the forest. The eagle finally landed near a cave. After yuri catched up to the eagle, he sat on the ground while sweating and breathing heavily. A cave?, I wonder if the eagle wants me to go inside. The eagle jumped and stood on yuri's shoulder again. "How about i give you a name". Yuri said as he started thinking of a name. "How about i call you kaze". The eagle looked at yuri then he looked away. Yuri stood up from the ground and he entered the cave. The cave was definitely so silent without a sign of life in it. Yuri kept moving inside the cave until when he saw a creepy man standing a distance away from him. "Hello, who is there?". Yuri asked the man. "I found you at last felix eagle". Said the man with a creepy voice that scared yuri morethan he already was. Felix eagle?, What is this man talking about?. I dont know anything but i think it was a bad idea to be here from the first place. I think its time leave. Yuri started taking steps backward and the man talked again. "Leaving already, i don't think so felix eagle". Yuri was sensing something different from this man. Its like he wasnt a human. Many large tentacles came out from the man's chest and they attacked yuri. Yuri quickly moved away and the tentacles missed him. Now yuri knows the man isn't a human. "I have to get out of here". Yuri said to himself with fear all over his face. Before yuri could even turn around the man charged toward him and reached him in an instance. Yuri thought he was a goner but the eagle on his shoulders spread his wings and a strong wind blast the man away and destroyed him to pieces. What just happened?, Did this eagle save my life?. Now it's so clear to me that this eagle isnt a normal one. The man that attacked yuri disintegrated and vanished leaving a red feather behind. 'What did that man or thing meant by he found me?'. Yuri thought. Yuri slowly and carefully moved toward the red feather. He leaned a little and he picked it up. "Kaze, this is the feather of an eagle just like you, right?". Yuri said as he showed the feather to kaze. Kaze picked up the feather from yuri and he threw it away. "I dont feel safe here, i guess we should leave". Yuri said and stood up. The eagle jumped from yuri's shoulder and flied further into the cave. "Kaze come back". Yuri shouted. Whats with this bird?, Should i just leave or should i follow?. A mysterious man almost killed me earlier, i have no idea what i will meet in there. But kaze brought me here for a reason, i should not be a coward. Guess i will have to follow. Yuri started walking furthermore in the cave chasing after kaze. He then reached a dead end where he met kaze waiting for him. "Great, its a dead end". Yuri said to himself. Sky's eyes shined brightly yellow and then some ancient drawings appeared on the wall before yuri. Yuri moved closer to the wall as he saw some drawings or to be more accurate, symbols. Yuri started reading the symbols. "the ancient tablet of the great abyss shall show darkness to the one who seeks it and strength to the one who seeks it. I therefore seek both". After yuri finished reading, the symbols shined yellow as they disappear and then a portal was opened. "What on earth is this place?". Yuri asked himself looking shocked from everything that was happening. Kaze flied inside the portal and so yuri followed. After yuri passed through the portal he was in a large round closed cave with no way in or out and in the middle of the cave he saw a tablet or rather a piece of a tablet lying on the ground. Yuri picked it up and wondered if this was the tablet that kaze was telling him about. But what should he do with it, its not like he knows what this tablet was but since his magical eagle went through the trouble of bringing him to this tablet then it must be important. Yuri took the tablet with him and went through the portal again. "Am back". Yuri murmured after the portal brought him back vanished. Kaze sat on yuri's shoulder as yuri head out from the cave. The moment yuri came out of the cave it was already night. What's going on here?, i only spent twenty five minutes in that cave and its already night. It was broad day light when i went inside this cave. Well alot of crazy stuffs happened in this cave but does that also mean when i was inside the cave time moved slower from inside and moved faster outside. "Does everything had to do with this tablet i found?". Now my major problem is how to go back home because i dont know a way back. Yuri panicked as he remembered something. "Oh my goodness, i totally forgot about mom and dad. They must be worried sick about me". Yuri panicked as he will definitely be scolded.
