Investigating her true identity

Aaron felt like he had to protect and save Celine at all costs. He doesn't want to regret it again. Losing someone you love is the most painful one. "I have to save her no matter what," Aaron said to himself while looking at Celine. He doesn't want anything bad to happen to her like what happened to his ex-girlfriend. Aron stared at Celine for a few more minutes before he glared at the man. The man smirked while looking at him. "You want to save her, do you?" the man asked Aron, but before he could answer, he placed the knife into Celine's neck. She gasped for breath, and her eyes widened as she looked at Aron. She seemed to tell him to save her from the man. Her depressed eyes were exactly the same as the eyes of his ex-girlfriend. Aron looked at the man, "Please let her go. What do you want? Money? I can give you as many as you want," Aron said to the man, and the wind seemed to blow differently to him. He looked at Aron as if he wanted to make a deal with him in exchange for money. Aron also knew that the man was only doing this because of money. "How much can you give in exchange for this woman's life?" he asked him. "I can give you a hundred thousand or any amount. Just please don't hurt her," the man's eyes widened, as did Celine's. She didn't know if Aron was lying or joking with the man. She about herself because the knife was so close to her neck. "Okay, I'll let her go, but give me the money first," Aron nodded his head. "Alright," Aron immediately took out a check and wrote down the amount of money he could get in the bank. "Here. I have signed it already, and you can take the money from the bank," the man immediately took the check given by Aron and looked at the amount of money he wrote. The man immediately removed the knife from Celine's neck, and she breathed a sigh of relief. Celine also felt like he was just being forced to do that thing because he needed money. "Just make sure you don't report to the police. If you do, I'll come back to you two," he said while pointing the knife at the two of them, and he slowly left the condo. As the man left the condo, Aron went to Celine as fast as he could. He then untied her and suddenly hugged her tightly. "I'm sorry. I'm sorry," he repeatedly said to Celine, which caused her to frown as Aron was hugging her. Her eyes widened and her lips parted in surprise as Aron continued to hug her. "I'm fine. Don't worry, I'm okay." "I'm sorry, I came too late," she frowned even more. Celine was too confused to speak up. All she did, she lifted her hands to his back and patted his back. "It's okay. It's okay," she repeatedly said to him. After Aaron calmed down, Celine looked at him and handed him a glass of water. "Here, drink this," Aaron stared at her and smiled. He sighed in relief at seeing her safe. Seeing her alive, Aaron is happy and relieved of his guilt for what happened to his ex-girlfriend. He seemed to see the woman he loved and treasured so much. "Thank you." "What? For what?" Celine asked. "For being alive. Thank you for being alive and well." Celine's eyes watered as she looked at him. It was the first time someone said that to her. It was the first time she heard someone thank her for being alive. "But, why did you pay the man? I'll pay you once I-" "No need. I have enough money inside my bank account." "But." "No, buts, Celine. It's no big deal. I can't sacrifice your life just to save my skin." Celine stared at him, smiling with teary eyes. They were tears of joy as she was so happy to see him like that. They had become close friends since then and Aron was always there for her no matter what happened. The next day, Aron and Celine went to the bar together. She went inside, and she stopped walking as she saw Lucas's grandma. Her eyes widened, and hurriedly she went inside the bathroom. Celine took her phone out and called Lucas. "Hello? Do you miss me already? Why are you?" "Stop this bullshit, Lucas. Your grandma is here at the bar. How? How can I act like a boss here? This is all your fault," she uttered at him over the phone. Lucas was so surprised as she heard her nagging again. "Wait, relax for a moment. I'm thinking of a way," he uttered calmly to Celine. "How can I relax? She's here already. I don't know what to do, Lucas," it was a very unfortunate day for Celine because her cellphone battery was drained, so the call was cut off. She sighed in disbelief while looking at her cellphone. "What am I going to do now?" she immediately peeked out of the bar and was immediately slowly ushered towards the kitchen of the bar where Aron was. He looked at her and noticed that he seemed to be hiding from someone. "Are you okay?" "Gosh! You startled me!" she uttered in response while holding her chest. "Why? Something happened?" "Yes, I'm in trouble." "Why?" "I lied to someone," she pouted her lips as she faced him. Celine immediately told him everything, including her marriage and contract. Aaron was furious when he found out about it. He glared at the woman outside that Celine was referring to. "What should I do, Aron? I think she'll find out that I lied really soon," because Aron was important and worried about Celine, he immediately thought of helping her. Celine immediately came out of the kitchen and was dressed, and she immediately smiled when she saw Lucas' grandmother. She immediately headed in her direction. "I thought you weren't here?" she asked. "Oh, Madam. You're here, I was in the kitchen. There are so many shortages of stock, so I need to check." "Let me give you a free drink," she offered. "No, thank you. I was just checking your bar. You have a lovely bar, Celine. I love the style of your bar," she complimented, so Celine just smiled at what she said. "Thank you, Ma'am." "I'll get going then," Glenda uttered, and she smiled as she started to walk away from her. After she went out, Celine went back to the kitchen and saw Aron. She sighed in relief as she took off the dress she was wearing. "I'm sorry and thank you. Please don't tell this to the boss, right?" Aron smiled at her and nodded his head. "I won't. I'll keep it a secret, so don't worry, and let's start working," Celine smiled at him and pinched his cheeks. "You're the best," she said while giving him a big thumbs up. Aaron stopped what he was going to do as he thought again of the woman he had loved before. Like Celine, his ex-girlfriend loves to squeeze his cheeks. So Aron will never forget, because everything Celine does is very similar to his ex-girlfriend. He sighed in disbelief as he thought reincarnation was possible in today's generation. Aron shook his head. "Get a grip on yourself, Aron. They're not the same," he keeps repeating to himself. Aron was already at the counter, making drinks as he stared in Celine's direction, serving a bunch of women a drink. Although many women approached Aron and invited him out, he refused. He was too focused on his previous love, and it seemed like he couldn't move on anymore, especially since Celine was there with the same face as his ex. Meanwhile, Glenda frowned as the person she commanded to find out about the owner's information about the bar didn't find Celine's name. She wondered why Celine's name wasn't listed. "Is the bar running illegally?" Glenda asked a man outside her car. "No, Madam. The bar is running legally, but it seemed like the owner of the bar protects and hides her identity," she nodded her head. "Alright. You can go now," Glenda looked back at the papers she was holding and threw them at her side. "What is it? Is she really rich?" she asked herself. Glenda knows that only rich people can hide information if someone investigates them. She took her phone out, "Hello?" "Yes, Madam." "I have another job for you." "Yes, what is it?" "Find anything about Celine Madrigal," Glenda said over the phone. "Yes, Madam." "Make sure you find something, right?" "Yes." Glenda was having doubts about Celine's identity. She thinks she was lying to her. "I'm sure I will find your secret soon, Celine." The driver started the engine and drove away from the bar. Glenda went to her grandson, Lucas. "How are you feeling?" she asked. "I'm fine." "Then, you think you can go home now?" she asked directly. "Grandma, why are you making me go home already? I have to recover soon." "You have to take care of the company, Lucas, before anyone else takes it from us," his Grandma uttered. "Why? I don't want to work there." "But you have to! You're the only person I trust, Lucas. And I trust you to the company. I know you can do it more than I can do." "Grandma... We've talked about this already, right?" "You have to do what I want from now on." "I won't." To be continued...
