Sofia Romano has spent her life surviving the cruelty of her father, the infamous Roberto Romano. When she’s ordered to marry the son of his greatest rival, she knows it isn’t a union — it’s a sentence. A pawn in a bloody game she never chose.

But the man who claims to be her fiancé isn’t the one she was promised.

Luca Vidal, identical twin to the volatile Dray, steals his brother’s place and claims Sofia as his own. To the outside world, it’s a reckless act of defiance. To Luca, it’s the only way to save a girl who has already endured too much. He knows exactly what kind of monster his brother is… and he refuses to hand Sofia over to another cage.

What Sofia doesn’t know is that her new father‑in‑law, Don Draven Vidal, never intended for her to survive this alliance. The marriage is a trap — a calculated move to lull Roberto Romano into a false partnership before the Vidal's destroy the Romano empire once and for all. And when the dust settles, Sofia is meant to fall with her father.

But Luca has other plans.

As danger closes in and loyalties fracture, Luca and Sofia are forced into a marriage built on lies, protection, and a spark neither of them expected. He’s the son of a ruthless Don. She’s the daughter of a man marked for death. Together, they’re a risk neither family can afford.

Yet Luca will burn the world before he lets anyone hurt her again.

In a war where bloodlines decide fate, can a stolen bride and the wrong twin rewrite the rules — or will love be the most dangerous betrayal of all?

1 - This won't end well
Welcome to book 15!!! This is Luca Vidal's story. Luca is the eldest son of Don Draven Vidal and Marnie from book 7 in the Snakes Henchmen MC series. There will be trigger warnings if needed. There is no rape or SA in this book. There is some abuse, but not sexua.l! Enjoy!!! P. S: Please don't forget to comment on the chapters if you're reading. It helps to keep the books free for you to read :D Luca “I’m not doing this, Dad. I don’t give a damn what you say!” My brother hisses through clenched teeth. I shake my head because this isn’t going to be good. “Oh, you are doing this, Dray,” Dad tells him. “I’m not giving you a choice. If you weren’t such a little cunt, I wouldn’t be making you do this. As it is, I need to keep Romano happy. I need him to believe I’m on his side, and in order to do that and pull you in line at the same time, I need him happy with a family union. That’s why you’ll be marrying his daughter next week, and you will not fight me on it.” My father the optimist. Don Draven Vidal. Boss of the Vidal Crime Famiglia. My brother, my identical twin in every way but morally, Dray Vidal. Two minutes younger than me and twice as evil. He could literally give my father a run for his money. Dray cares for nothing. He gives no shits about who he kills. Get in his way, and he won’t let you off. Begging won’t help because Dray doesn’t care. My father thinks he can marry Dray off to Roberto Romano’s daughter and that it will straighten him out, along with finally getting the information he needs to end the evil old bastard. My father is wrong on the marriage front. Dray does what Dray wants. He’s never dated a woman for more than one night. He never sleeps with the same girl twice, and he never calls them once he’s done with them. Dray is also unpredictable a lot of the time. He’s dangerous and thinks nothing of the safety of himself or those around him. Unless that person is our mother or our older sisters. Dray would and has killed for the three of them more than once. People would ask how my brother sleeps at night. Dray would tell them, ‘Like a baby.’ Dray is nothing like me in that respect, the killing part, I mean. I’m dangerous when needs be, but I’m not insane enough to do the things Dray does. He was born to take over the family; I was not. As the older brother, technically, I’m the heir to the Vidal Crime Family. But I don’t want to be in charge. Ever. Dad knows this. I would never fight my brother to be head of the family. I make damn sure I’m careful and keep my mother and older sisters safe. That’s what my father trained me to do. I shouldn’t need to keep Lydia safe; she is married. However, her husband is nothing like us. He wasn’t born to be one of us. Toby comes from a well-off family in New York. He was once our cousin Ember’s boyfriend before he cheated on her with our sister. Not my sister’s finest hour, but I forgave her, even if I disagreed with that s**t. I’ve always dated girls, treated them with respect, and felt things for a couple of them. They all, and I do mean all, treated me like s**t. All of them fell into bed with my brother; all fell for his charms to get into their panties. I should hate him for that, right? I don’t. Dray is my brother, the other half of me. If those women gave a damn about me, they wouldn’t have slept with my brother so easily. They couldn’t even use the excuse that he pretended to be me, because I know he never did. Dray is just too damn cocky to be anyone other than himself. It was all a game to him because he’s that kind of cunt. The game was to prove to me that those women were not worthy of me. He should never have done something like that! However, I love him regardless. “You can’t force me to marry anyone!” Dray yells. My father rolls his eyes from behind his desk while flexing his Armani-suit-clad arms. He always wears a suit. Very rarely have I ever seen him in anything else. The only time Dad is casual is when he’s spending time alone with our mother. Dad would do anything for Mom. God, I don’t think anyone could love their wife as much as my father loves my mother. Dad may be the Don, but he’s not shy about showing what his wife means to him. Anyone could use it against him and try to hurt her, or worse, just to get to him, and people have in the past. But Dad keeps Mom safer than any man could. When my mother was pregnant with my brother and me, she almost lost us because her ex-husband’s mother tried to kill her. Mom was forced to give up my sisters, the little girls she had in secret, after one night with my father. He raised the two of them alone, thinking my mother wanted nothing to do with them. He even told us how much he hated her for it. For abandoning them when she should have been his wife the whole time. The truth was that my mother’s very racist father forced her to marry a man who abused her for years. Her husband knew nothing about my sister, and Mom’s father never allowed her to see her little girls but once a year, if she was lucky. My eldest sister, Lydia, still remembers a little of when she was small: how our mother would visit, hold her close, and tell her how much she loved her and how one day they’d be together. Amber, who has Down Syndrome, doesn’t remember much, but then she never speaks about the past, so I wouldn’t really know. My aunt Brooke, my mother’s younger sister, fell for Hawk, a member of Snakes Henchmen MC, an MC both my father’s sister and half-brother belong to. Aunt Brooke fell pregnant with Hawk’s child and gave birth without knowing she was even pregnant. Her father had forced her away from Hawk with the threat that he’d kill him if she didn’t end things. After giving birth to Gabriel, Brooke walked miles to find Hawk at his clubhouse. It wasn’t long before her father was killed and she married Hawk. Aunt Brooke and my father’s sister, Maria, are best friends, and Maria knew how badly Brooke wanted my mother to be at her wedding. Marnie, my mother, managed to sneak away from her husband for the day and attend the wedding. There, she met up with my father. Lydia and Amber weren’t with him; he’d left them with family while he attended. He was never one for taking my sisters to a place where bikers were. No matter if his brother was a high-ranking member, and his sister was married to the VP. Mom used to tell us all about how Dad saw her at the bar, and how their eyes locked. Dad knew that he still loved Mom. He touched her hand, she cried, and he led her to a room in the back. You can imagine what they did all night long. Not that they ever told us, but it was obvious from the smile on Mom’s face. She found out not long after that she was pregnant with me – Dray was never expected; he was a pleasant surprise. Mom left her abusive husband and sought Dad out. Dad moved Mom in with him, they fell deeper in love, and Mom knew she’d never love anyone else. She had her little girls back permanently, and she thought everything would be okay once her divorce came through and she could marry Dad. It wasn’t Mom who told us what happened while she was pregnant with my brother and me. It was too hard for her, but we were curious as to why we were born so early. Dad held Mom close to him as he explained how her ex-husband’s mother attacked her simply because she was racist and knew my mother had left her white husband for my Italian father. Mom didn’t want us to know anything, and Lydia and Amber weren’t present when Dad told us. They’re his princesses, and he won’t allow anyone to tell them anything that would upset them. Plus, Lydia is a mother now, and Dad thinks she shouldn’t worry about things that can’t be changed. I agree. My father made every member of my mother’s ex-husband’s family pay for one woman’s crimes. He made a massive point to anyone out there who dared cross him and even think about hurting his wife. Dad has done a damn good job over the past twenty-three years since Dray and I were born. No one has so much as sent death threats concerning my mother. Or at least, none that my brother and I know of. I’m sure my brother would lose his mind if he knew. “Dray, don’t test me!” Dad snaps while slamming his hand down on his desk. “Romano and the girl will be here in an hour, so you can be introduced. Don’t even think about leaving the house. The guards have been warned not to let you out of the gate.” My brother is already storming away, slamming Dad’s office door behind him. This isn’t going to go the way my father thinks it will. “Are you sure about this, Dad?” I ask. “I know you think it will be good for Dray, and the key to getting Romano just where you want him. But do you really think it would be fair to the girl, who I’m guessing had no choice in the matter either, to be forced to marry a man who will never be faithful to her?” It’s the truth. I know my brother better than anyone. Whoever this girl is, because I know nothing about Romano’s daughter, deserves better. Every woman does. I know Romano has four daughters, but I, along with my brother, have never met one, never even seen a picture. But I’m assuming it’s his youngest daughter who’ll be marrying my brother. I know this girl will never change Dray. He’ll marry her because my father will cut him off if he doesn’t, he’d never take over the family, and Dray would not handle that very well at all. However, Dray will make that girl’s life a misery in every way. He’ll blame her for everything: being in his way, being stuck with her, and for even being alive. I don’t believe Dray would ever hit her; he’s not that kind of man. I hope. But that doesn’t mean he wouldn’t drive her to suicid.e. However, Dray would take what he wanted from her time and time again. He wouldn’t rape her, but she’d be his wife, and he’d do all sorts of things to her body, whether she wanted it or not. That’s rape, I know, but he wouldn’t see it that way. He’d see it as his right as her husband. The thought makes me feel sick. Especially as my brother’s tastes in the bedroom can be a little on the sick side. Unless she was into all of that, he’d frighten her. She’d have a life of misery because she wouldn’t be able to do anything without Dray’s say-so. I can’t stand the thought of any woman having to go through that. It makes me think of my mother and sister having that kind of life, and I can’t bear it. “Luca, this isn’t up for discussion. Dray will marry the girl, and that’s an end to it. It doesn’t have to be permanent, but it’s happening. Do not get involved. Your brother should have grown up years ago, and maybe he wouldn’t be in this situation right now. I want you both to be on your best behavior. Now, go change for dinner, Luca. You have an hour.” There’s no arguing with my father when he’s like this, so I walk away. This night is not going to end well. I don’t believe anyone should be forced to marry someone they don’t love, regardless of the reasons. But what the hell am I supposed to do about it? Think, Luca. You always come up with a plan to get your brother out of trouble. In the end, at least. God help me for what I’m about to do. Because I’m going to need it.
