My brows creased as I thought about what is happening in my life right now and how I end up with this situation. I wasn't even sure now that Dylan is here. My mind was making up some incredible thoughts in just a look. I was thinking that maybe I am just tired so that's why I am hallucinating that I could pinpoint what the expression Dylan has right now. I don't know if I am right that his eyes were fury or sad. They were all mixed.   I scowled myself. Why do I care? Why am I still thinking about what his expressions are? I looked away from his stare and confidently walked into the building mine. My precious building was built by my parents. DC Enterprises Inc. was built by my father, Alejandro Dela Cruz in his early twenties when he met my mother, Sheila Sologroso. They married. They don't love each other. They married because they wanted an expansion for their business and to extend their richness.   I was destined to be the conglomerate heiress because that's what my parents wanted for me. They want me to learn at my early age how I will deal and trade in the marketing world. I hate to admit that I was a battered child. They were the most merciless and cruel parents I've ever had. I never felt their love for me but just a cold heart stone. The love they've been giving to me was a stick and a supply belt of my father once I did a wrong move in calculating numbers.   They wanted me to be a merciless, perfect, flawless, and selfish heiress. Despite their wrong deeds, I was thanking myself that I didn't grow up like what they wanted. I could say they were savage people I knew. I promised myself not to simulate like them. I will grow up kind and benevolent. But if I get mad, I become like what my parents taught me they wanted me to be. I could say painful and hurtful words that they will choose to resign from their job instead.   As I passed by the cubicles of my employees, they all stood up and greeted me, "Good morning, Miss Freya." They all said in unison. I just nodded at them as a response and ignored them once I entered my office.   I saw my secretary already working at her desk. She looked up at me and I gave her a brief nod which she understood. She stood up, took the papers piled up on her desk. I stopped walking and faced my three bodyguards. I kept my stare on Bea and Auston. I don't like staring at Dylan. I was afraid I might give in to the temptation of kissing him.   I slowly breathe. Truth to be told but yes. I was tempted to kiss him. I almost couldn't breathe a while back in the car because he was kissing my earlobe like he used to do it when we're still together. I shook the thoughts away. I could feel my cheeks flaring up and I just hope they didn't notice it. I hope it was not visible. Concentrate, Freya. Concentrate.   I gave Bea and Auston a brief discussion up to where their limits in securing my life. Their limit is outside of my office. No one should enter my private office because it's private, to begin with. It's very obvious that they didn't know about the word, 'privacy'. So, I explained it to them carefully. In my office, I could properly think of ways and methods in dealing with business.   I groaned mentally when they told me that Dylan should be inside to check the perimeters. I almost cussed. Goodness! This isn't right. This is dangerous. I don't want to be with him inside of my office. I know what would happen if we were both alone in a secluded place. I was about to contradict them but my secretary emerged in my office.   "Excuse me, Miss Freya, the prospector clients are here. They are ready for the conference meeting about the contract signing," said my secretary.   I nodded at her news. Thank goodness. "Very well," I smirked and we stormed out of my office. I kept my smirk plastered on my face. This is one of a hell contract signing. I've been waiting for this moment to come. My secretary gave me a formal smile when we stopped at the door of the conference room. I summoned my hand to stop for a moment. I faced my bodyguards, still wearing my smirk. I looked at Bea and Auston. "You two, leave your asses here. Dylan could only come with me." I gave him a moment's glance then I looked away.   "Miss Freya."   I turned around to check that familiar voice of someone I knew. I gave him a nod and smiled at him. "Attorney Reynolds, very well. You came at the right time. We have a business to deal with my clients. I need your skills in giving them some brief discussion about the contract."   "I'm very much pleased to be on your side, Miss Freya." And we shook hands. I was about to pull away but he held my hand gently and didn't want to let me go. I looked at him. He gave me a formal smile and I returned it.   We both heard someone clearing their throat and looking at... Dylan. His eyes were blazing in anger when he looked at somewhere God knows where. I creased my brows and followed his gaze he was looking at. I saw him looking at our hands of Attorney Reynolds, shaking hands then he shot me a glare. I instantly removed my hand from the Attorney. I cleared my throat and faced the door to twist the doorknob.   ***   I stormed into my office with a satisfied smile. I closed my eyes and turned around twice. "This is so great. I never thought this would be so easy as I was expecting. The contract signing about the expansion is now agreed by everyone." I giggled and opened my eyes. I couldn't explain my happiness upon knowing that my investors agreed to the contract signing. I'd been planning this for so long. I just wait for the right time to consult them.   I walked to face the glass window to stare at the panorama view of Manila. I couldn't remove the smile glued to my face but it suddenly changed into a grin.   So, this would be the start of my changing of future. The expansion I've been planning a year ago is coming true. If I expand my business, more money will be put in my pocket. I'm gonna make sure this would end up triumphantly just like my parents' dreams.   I have a confession to make. I am a different person whenever I am in the business. I always turned out to be a merciless, tyrant, and heartless woman when it comes to dealing. I was different from what happened now. I was grinning to myself because the contract signing is successful. This is gonna be great. I am so happy about this.   "I didn't expect that you would be like this."   I froze in my place. I instantly turned around to see Dylan. I gritted my teeth when I spotted Dylan sitting comfortably on my couch. I made a face and crossed my arms. "Just what do you think you're doing, huh?" I asked, snapping.   He eyed me up and down. He gave me his charming smile. That caught me off-handed. "I'm your personal bodyguard, remember? I believe we've already talked about this that I should stay here with you in your 'private' office," he said and stood up as he walked towards me.   I caught off guard and an alarm was cringed on me. Do you see that? He was walking towards me. Maybe, I should... I should stay away. It's very dangerous that he was quite close to my body. I might give in.   I looked to my side. My breath hitched and looked at Dylan who was striving his tracks towards me. Goodness! When will he stop torturing me like this? I stepped back when he was so close to my face.   I stepped back again when I saw how he formed a smirk on his lips. He stepped forward. Uh-oh! I think he was thinking it was a bad idea. "Why are you stepping back, Freya? Are you afraid of me?"   I shook my head and flashed a nervous smirk. "You wish. I am not afraid of you, Dylan." I wanted to pinch myself to wake up from this dream. This is not good! Get Dylan out of my office now!   "Really?" he said amusingly and came closer to me again. I tried to step back again.   My eyes widened when I felt the office wall and also gasped loudly when his arms pinned at both sides of my head, cornering me with his body while he was still wearing that annoying smirk. I took a deep breath when his face was an inch closer to mine. I gulped slowly. Is this position nice or not? I think the second option is the best. It is not nice.   "Gotcha," he whispered in my ear. Then he looked at me, directly to my eyes. And he smirked. "You think we're done talking, Freya? We are not yet done."   My eyes were still widening in shock, knowing that he was so close to my body. And my traitor body wanted to be so close with him. No! No! This can't be right. I shot him a glare. "Get. Out. In. My. Office. You. Fucker," I commanded furiously.   "Na-ah. Your wish isn't my command. Baby, you can't command me like that."   My heart starts to palpitate crazily. He called me 'baby'. My goodness! Stand still, Freya. Your knees turning into Jell-O. Try to stand still. "Stop calling me that!" I said annoyingly.   He chuckled. "Why? Are you getting mad at me? I love seeing that," he teased.   I raised my hand to slap him but he caught my hand and suddenly brought it to his lips causing me to gasp and blush. "What...What are..." I couldn't continue what I'm saying because I had tongue-tied when he started planting a soft kiss in my hand he caught.   "Hmmm? You were saying?" he said between the kisses in my hand.   I gulped and my eyes widened again. "Stop it..." I scowled him softly. I couldn't stop my breath. My body started to heat up from what he was doing to my hand.   He looked into my eyes. "I missed you, Freya..." he whispered while still kissing my hand and my knuckles. I felt a thousand bolts of static electricity flowing in the nerves of my body. I couldn't stop looking at his dark chocolate eyes that always mesmerized me. I heaved a breath as his lips went in my neck and nibbled it. I involuntarily closed my eyes and bit my lower lip to stop myself from moaning. s**t! That was my weak spot. Dylan knew that my weak spot was kissing my neck. He knew it. Then he looked at me and smiled evilly. "You're stopping yourself from moaning, huh?" Then he came closer again and sucked on my neck again.   I caught my breath because I couldn't breathe properly. "Stop... it... Dylan..." I moaned softly. I felt his smile while still sucking my neck.   "You're going to love this. If I did this...." he said and all of a sudden, he licked my neck. My eyes widened from what he did and it sent shivers down to my spine. My goodness!
