Finding love again
Chapter 1Anniversary
Anne woke up from a deep sleep, startled by the sound of her children's voices calling her. She rubbed the sleep from her eyes and stumbled out of bed to see what was wrong.
"Mommy, we're hungry!" her daughter cried, tugging on Anne's nightgown.
Anne looked at the clock and realized she had overslept. She had been so exhausted from waiting up for her husband, Tom, who had promised to be home for their fifth wedding anniversary.
But Tom had never showed up. Anne had tried to remind him earlier in the day, but he had ignored her calls and texts.
As she made breakfast for her children, Anne couldn't help but feel disappointed and angry. She had been looking forward to celebrating their anniversary with Tom, but now she felt like a fool for even hoping he would show up.
Just then, there was a knock at the door. Anne's heart skipped a beat. Could it be Tom? Had he come back to make things right?
She opened the door to find a deliveryman standing there with a bouquet of flowers and a card.
"For Anne, on your fifth anniversary," the deliveryman said, handing her the flowers and card.
Anne felt a wave of relief and excitement wash over her. Maybe Tom hadn't forgotten after all!
She opened the card and read the words Tom had written:
"Sorry I couldn't be there last night, babe. Work got crazy. But I promise to make it up to you. Meet me tonight at our favourite restaurant, and wear that dress I love. Love you always."
Anne couldn't help but smile. Tom may have forgotten their anniversary, but he was still trying to make things right. She spent the rest of the day getting ready for her date with Tom, picking out the perfect dress and getting her hair and makeup done.
As she walked into the restaurant that night, Tom was waiting for her with a bouquet of her favorite flowers.
"I'm so sorry, Anne," he said, taking her hand. "I promise to never let work get in the way of our love again."
Anne felt her heart swell with love and forgiveness. She knew that their marriage was far from perfect, but moments like these made it all worth it.
Over dinner, they laughed and talked like they used to when they were first married. It was like they were falling in love all over again.
As they walked out of the restaurant hand in hand, Anne realized that even though their anniversary didn't go as planned, it had still been a night to remember.
As Anne got ready for bed that night, she couldn't help but feel disappointed once again. She had hoped that her anniversary with Tom would be the start of a new beginning for their marriage, but instead, it seemed like he was just putting on a show.
Tom had made excuses all night about needing to get back to work, and when Anne had begged him to take her home, he had refused. She couldn't help but wonder if he had been lying to her all along, and if their whole date was just for show so he could prove to their children that he was a good man.
Anne's children were her pride and joy. Her son, Louis, was a handsome boy who had inherited his father's good looks. He had sandy blonde hair and bright blue eyes, and he was always smiling. Louis was a kind-hearted and gentle boy, who loved to play sports and spend time with his family. But Anne knew Louis hides his pain with a smile when he is at home, the boy was blessed with a good brain which is beyond his age. He didn't want his mother to worry about him and pretends that he could not see what's going on with his parents.
Anne's daughter, Lily, was a chubby and adorable little girl. She had curly brown hair and big brown eyes, and she was always giggling and playing with her toys. Lily was a sweet and curious child, who loved to explore the world around her.Her laughter always kept the house a life.
Together, Louis and Lily were the light of Anne's life. She loved them more than anything in the world, and she would do anything to make sure that they were happy and healthy.
Tom's wealth had allowed them to live a comfortable life, with a big house and all the luxuries they could ever want. But Anne knew that money wasn't everything, and that what mattered most was the love and support of her family.
As Anne worked on herself and her marriage, she also made sure to spend quality time with Louis and Lily. They went on family trips, played games together, and shared meals and laughter.
Anne knew that her children were her greatest blessings, and she was grateful for every moment she got to spend with them. And as she and Tom worked to repair their relationship, she felt hopeful that they could create a happy and loving home for their family. She went to a dip sleep hoping things will turn out better.
As Anne drifted off to sleep, a vivid dream began to take shape. In the dream, she found herself in a dark and shadowy room, with her friend standing in front of her, anger etched on her face.
"I can't believe you did this to me, Anne," her friend spat. "How could you sleep with my boyfriend behind my back? I thought you were my best friend!"
Anne felt a wave of guilt and shame wash over her as she tried to explain herself, but her friend wouldn't listen. The hurtful words kept coming, each one like a dagger to Anne's heart.
"You're a terrible person, Anne. I never want to see you again."
Anne felt tears streaming down her face as she woke up, gasping for air. The dream felt so real that she could still feel the sting of her friend's words, this dream has been hunting her for years .Ann woke up the following morning to prepare for her kids breakfast, she prefers preparing for them helpful even though there were plenty of servants at her house. As she goes to the kitchen some servants asked her what was wrong but she ignored them she knew her eyes were puffy because of crying too much the previous night.
When she was done she set the table to with her children, Louis seems to notice his mother off mood.He lost the appetite and didn't eat anything.Anne tried to persuade him to eat but he didn't, before they went to school Louis reminded his mother about the parents day for lily.
As Anne wiped away the tears from her puffy eyes, she tried to compose herself, knowing that she had to be strong for her children. She remembered Louis' words from that morning, and felt a pang of guilt for letting her own pain overshadow her responsibilities as a mother.
Determined to be there for Lily and Louis, Anne made her way to the meeting with their teacher, feeling a mix of nerves and anticipation. She knew that it was important to stay involved in her children's lives, even as she struggled with her own personal challenges.
As Anne rushed through the halls of the school, her heart pounding with anxiety, she heard the sound of Lily's voice, trembling with fear and sadness. As she got closer, she could hear the cruel taunts of the other children, mocking Lily for not having a father.
Tom has been not been around for the children not even want to know their academic performance,he only pays the school fees.
Anne felt a surge of anger and protectiveness rise up within her, as she burst into the classroom, ready to defend her daughter.
But as she entered the room, she saw Lily's tear-streaked face, and the look of shame and embarrassment in her eyes. Anne's heart broke as she realized the impact that Tom's absence was having on their children.
Without a word, Anne swept Lily up into her arms, holding her close and whispering words of love and reassurance. She knew that the pain of Tom's absence would not be easy to heal, but she was determined to do everything in her power to protect and support her children.
With Lily cradled in her arms, Anne knew that she was ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead, knowing that the strength and love of a mother could conquer even the darkest of days.
Determined to be there for Lily and Louis, Anne made her way to the meeting with their teacher, feeling a mix of nerves and anticipation. She knew that it was important to stay involved in her children's lives, even as she struggled with her own personal challenges.
As she entered the meeting room, Anne felt a knot form in her stomach. She was met by the concerned faces of Lily's teacher and the school counselor, who had noticed her daughter's recent struggles with bullying and anxiety.
Anne felt a surge of protective anger as she listened to their concerns, but she knew that she needed to stay calm and focused in order to help her daughter.
Together, they discussed strategies for supporting Lily, including counseling and additional resources to help her cope with the stress of her father's absence.
As the meeting came to a close, Anne felt a sense of relief wash over her. She knew that the road ahead would not be easy, but she felt empowered by the knowledge that she was not alone in her struggle.
With a renewed sense of purpose, Anne left the meeting feeling determined to do everything in her power to support her children and create a better future for them. She knew that the road ahead would be long and difficult, but she was ready to face it head on, armed with the strength and resilience of a mother's love.
