" Luna Chyenne, it was a pleasure. Please have your father in-law call me before I leave the states. We need to see if this meeting can be salvaged, the only thing good about this whole day is the food. Give my compliments to your chief as it’s customary I meet the cook and do it myself, but I am leaving before I do something his parents will regret." Making it clear he wouldn’t. He doubted anyone else would either, including his own mate. Ezra thought ruefully. " If this cannot be worked out or your Alpha does not get in touch with me before I board my jet, then this pack has seen the last of me, my support, and my warriors. Alex we are leaving this worthless pack, NOW!" Ezra commanded using his Alpha tone. Ezra walked himself right out the door with Alex, Cheyenne and Darien on his heels. Alex trying to catch up so he can tend his Alpha properly, Cheyenne, and Darien trying to get him to reconsider his decision to leave so abruptly.

Ana left her hiding place quickly, going back to her cell with tears running down her face. “ Our mate Aaliyah he doesn’t want us, he said that crap from his mouth and left the pack house.” Ana said to her wolf. This was going to be her fate, being locked away and abused for the rest of her life. Today was the first time she had been out of that room since Darien put her there. She knows it will not happen again. Darien had been right; she'd stay there until she died. Closing the door behind her she laid down on her pallet and silently cried. A few minutes later she heard the lock click home. It was the loudest and most final sound she has ever heard.

Ezra was fuming in the back seat of the rented SUV. Alex watched him in the rearview mirror as he sped down the road to the pack gates to leave this place. Seeing his eyes going back and forth from

Brown to Black, meaning Ezra is not fully in control. Ezra’s face was irritated and strained so Alex knew that Maddox was trying to take full control.

" Maddox, will you stop doing that? We are not going back, as soon as we cross that boarder we are rejecting her.” Ezra told his wolf. The wolf that as we speak is putting the most horrid images in his head. s**t even he couldn't condone, s**t even he wouldn’t do to a person. Maddox would and has but that was beside the point.

"Maddox Stop, this s**t is not funny man; Quit!" Ezra yelled at him again.

" No, it is not funny. Our mate is being mistreated in that pack. I could smell her wounds. They are new wounds, Ezra, as early as yesterday or even this morning. The blood smelled dried, but not old. Ezra, we have to help her. I think she was hiding because she isn't allowed free movement. I also think she was hiding because she was hoping we'd sence, find and rescue her. But we didn't, we were assholes. Ezra, she needs our help. She is our mate. I know she is, we cannot just leave her there."

Maddox said becoming more and more anxious the closer to the boarder we got.

“ Maddox she is an Omega a wolfless one. She would not stand a chance when you flip your switch on the full moon. Besides we don’t want a mate can’t have one, just because the moon goddess made this bond saying we are supposed to love her and her us don’t mean it’ll work out that way. We can’t trust her mate or not. It’s best to just leave her here.” Ezra explained.

“ Ezra I know and I hear you but we can’t leave her here. No one has the right to treat my mate like she is being treated. If she dies I’ll kill her but no one else. It’s that simple. Now, either we go back with your blessings or I’ll take control and go back anyway. It’s best if you agree with me for now human.” Maddox said.

Ezra sighing hating the decision he was making looked up at the driver and spoke.

" Go back Alex." Ezra said.

" Alpha? Did you forget something?" Alex questioned his Alpha. One day this would most likely get him killed. You weren't supposed to question your Alpha, or block them out of your head. Those two things tended to get pack members killed or injured more often than not.

" Yes, My Mate. Now turn the f**k around Gamma!" Maddox now had full control.

" Yes Alpha." Alex said, he would not question Maddox. Ezra tolerated him and his ways because after the death of his parents, Alex had stayed on in the pack taking the young Alpha under his wing helping him as much as the boy would allow. Alex was in fact much older than Ezra. He had been Alpha Jacob's Beta and best friend all their lives the man had even named Ezra after him. Jacob was Ezra's father. Alex supposed that is why he took the boy in, in the first place, but he loved the child his whole life. Alex's love for Ezra though it could never match that of his own fathers it wasn't far from it. He had been there when the child got his wolf. When Jacob had been so violently killed in front of the boy it made him so angry he shifted but not completely. He had the outer tones and build of a wolf, but he was standing on two legs with fur, fangs and all. He was the most hideous thing Alex had ever seen, the boy kind of reminded him of that ridiculous teens movie that came out in the 80's Teen Wolf he thought it was called, only there was nothing cute about Maddox. The large Midnight Black wolf/human mix was the scariest f*****g thing he had ever seen as well as the most dangerous deadly wolf he had ever seen. Ezra was 12, and because of the monster that was forced from him he was the most ruthless boy in the world. Alex had watched as the boy he knew and loved turned into a demon. Watched as his wolf slowly but surely took over until Ezra fought his way back. Now the beast inside could lock Ezra away in his own mind whenever the mood struck. On full moons the wolf went crazy. Crazy to the point that any lower ranking wolves in our pack was locked away, as well as Ezra's remaining family members. Alex had prayed the boy would never find his mate or took on a chosen one, but now that he has...

Alex felt sorry for the girl because it would appear Maddox could not leave here without taking her with him, even though it looked like Ezra had tried to do just that. Alex knew if Maddox knew that his mate was in this pack then so did Ezra. Well this explained a lot. Alex continued to think.

" Alpha. We will be arriving back at the pack house soon. Are you sure she is your mate, and why didn't we take her when we left before." Alex questioned more out of curiosity than anything. He did notice the shift in his Alpha's temper so he added quickly.

" I am not questioning you Alpha. I would never disrespect you in such a way. I am only curious, as to why we did not take your mate when we left. Alpha you were so upset I did not think you'd want to come back for any reason. Just as I know it does not matter what Alpha Green says, or if he catches us before we get on the jet or not, you will cut our ties with this pack. That is why I asked those questions Alpha. Not to disrespect but to understand." Alex explained.

" I told Ezra our mate was in this pack Alex, he said we were not leaving with a mate. He said we'd reject her, I want to agree with him I do. I know who I am Gamma." Maddox said almost sadly.

" So we left with the plan to reject her as soon as we crossed the pack boarder, but there was a sent mixed with hers. I couldn't place it at first. Hell I still can’t but other than the weirdness I can’t place was something else something that prevents me from being able to just leave and leave her behind. Alex, Ezra decided we'd go back even if I did push him into it. I just want you to know that he is not aware of anything right now. If I have to hurt someone to remove my mate." Maddox paused and took a deep breath. " I do not want him to see. I have known for a long time you were aware of my abilities you have been our Gamma for as long as we have been Alpha. But you have been our father since ours was killed. I know what Father meant to you, and I know what Ezra means to you still. I love my human and have blocked his mind from most of the horrible s**t I have done over the years. I can block his mind but not my own, I wish I could because the things we do, what we are capable of it’s gruesome. I know you know this too. It’s because of the love you have for my human and the respect you have always given me, even though I scare the living daylights out of you, that I have let you live with this knowledge. Also my human and I both see you as our father it’s not just Ezra. I'd kill to protect you. I know I can trust you with our lives, and you know that isn't something I do lightly or ever." He told Alex, though he was pissed off he never let it show in his voice while he told Alex what was on his heart.

" Alex, the sent that was mixed with mates, the one that keeps me from leaving her here. It was blood, dried but not older than yesterday. And Darien's. I have not told Ezra. But I believe the f**k tard of an Alpha is hurting my mate. That is a death sentence. I may not want to keep her Alex but I will be damned if anyone else hurts her. Yes I know hypocritical. I promise as soon as she is safe I will let her go. I do not want to hurt her. I also know I will, because I can not always control myself. I honestly think it’s because we are not a lone in here." Maddox told his Gamma and friend. Maddox told him everything that had happened while inside the Red Dawns pack house between him and Ezra.

" Alpha, You are right about most of that. Yes you scare me. But I love you as I do Ezra. I have been watching over you as well, but you are right. You and Ezra are like no other I have ever seen. Its almost like Ezra's Split personality has a split personality." Alex chuckled.

" Alpha if she is being abused and by the current Alpha's son how are we going to get her out of here?" Alex asked as he put the vehicle in park, now facing the pack house once again.

" I am going to walk my a... What the f**k!" Maddox exclaimed cutting himself off mid sentence as the attic widow exploded and a young woman burst out of it and landed on the ground, then took off limp running into the woods and out of sight.

Meanwhile in the attic room Ana was still sobbing on her pallet.

" Ana! Get up. If Darien came up and locked us in then our mate really doesn't want us and has left pack territory. It's time we leave this place." Aaliyah told her human.

" How we are locked in again." Ana sobbed.

" Yes but we are powerful, you know its important to keep me hidden. But we are not weak. That is everyone's misconception about us, that is their failing not ours. We can get out of here, we have only been held captive this long because I allowed it." Aaliyah told her, though she already knew these things Aaliyah had to keep reminding her they were not weak because of the constant abuse they had endured over the years.

" I am going to come fully forward and push you back, no one will know its me in control if we see anyone on our way out of this s**t hole, okay." Aaliyah explained, she didn't like fully taking control without telling Ana first. It scared her when she didn't know what was going on. Aaliyah knew that, so she tried not freak her out anymore than necessary.

" Okay, but will you let me back in control soon?" Ana asked. Ana was tired, her mate didn't want her so she had her own plans. Going Rogue was not one of them.
