My voice evaded me and the widening of my arms to encompass Limah’s rightful property led only to more bows pointing my way. The guard grew bored with our presence and levelled the tip of her sword at my face. “Leave now and I won’t kill you,” she said, forgetting how many times I’d tripped her during swordplay and planted her on her back.
