Alex POV:
Just when I had thought there was a calm after the storm, and everything was finally back to normal, an unexpected tornado erupted from nowhere.
My head was in sparks trying to figure out what exactly was going on. My mom froze in her seat, overlooking the food on the table, with a sweat strolling down her nose.
The outburst from Mr. Deville had left everyone at the table, shocked and disoriented. It was as if we were seeing a different person entirely. I had never seen him that upset, I had never seen him react that way as well.
If he was very upset, it was obvious mum had done something serious for him to leave. I knew Mr. Deville loved mum very much, if he was asking her to leave, that only means she definitely did wrong.
