Alpha Mate

Here is some info on where my story takes place.  Midnight Shadows pack is only 500 wolves strong. This is counting the males, females, and pups of the pack. The Black family has controlled the pack for several generations. The pack is located in the forests of eastern Montana. The pack house is large at 3 stories; able to house at least 60 members. The rest of the pack is located in houses around the territory.  Mates are life long partners. If one dies the Moon goddess may choose to give them a second chance mate but this is beyond rare. It is a 1 in a 50,000 chance to happen. Mates can be found the moment a wolf turns 16 but sometimes it does take longer. Mates can recongnize their other half in both human and wolf form. When mates accept each other, a bond is formed. To finalize a bond, the pair must mate and mark one another. Marking is rather simple, all a wolf has to do is bite the other on the neck.  Wolves in my story can shift from the time they are 7 years old. This allows them to know their wolf and form a bond with the other wolves in the pack. Most wolves will find out their rank when they turn 13 but some wolves are born into their ranks.  Ranks:  Alpha and Luna Beta and Beta Female Gamma and Gamma Female Delta and Delta Female Pack Warriors Pack Members Omegas There are also the elders who are like the advisors of the pack.  Just to give you an idea of the characters that will appear in the story.  Morgan Black - Dominic’s mother and the current Luna of the pack.  Logan Black - Dominic’s father and the current Alpha of the pack. Dominic Black - Future Alpha of the pack. Lucas Donovan - Alena’s father and the current Beta of the pack.  Lydia Donovan - Alena’s mother and the current Beta Female of the pack. Alena Donovan - Future Luna of the pack.  Eric Donovan - Future Beta of the pack and Alena’s brother.  The rest of the characters will be introduced to everyone later.
