This time, with the gathered strength of two people, Randy managed to knock down all seven or eight coconuts from the tree. Luckily, he had a stone axe. Otherwise, he wouldn't have been able to reach the ones farther up.
After climbing down from the tree, Randy carried all the coconuts back.
As usual, they cracked open the coconuts with stones. The two of them sat in the cave, a bonfire burning in front of them, drinking coconut water and eating coconut meat, thoroughly enjoying themselves.
After eating and drinking, Randy and Adela went to sleep in the cave.
It had been a tiring day. Their bodies were exhausted, and their minds were drained. Randy, who often suffered from insomnia, slept especially well that night.
In a half-asleep state, he felt a soft body pressed against his back. Instinctively, Randy reached out and accidentally touched Adela's butt. Realizing something was off, he opened his eyes and saw Adela tightly clinging to his back, hugging him as she slept soundly.
Adela had a well-proportioned figure, with a large chest and a curvy backside. Perhaps it was due to her regular exercise—there wasn't an ounce of extra fat on her body, and her skin felt incredibly smooth to the touch.
However, Randy hadn't expected Adela to be such a restless sleeper. Her ample chest pressed against him, making it difficult for him to sleep comfortably.
Watching the bonfire outside the cave grow smaller and smaller, Randy thought about adding more wood to the fire. But Adela was holding onto him so tightly that he couldn't move.
Helpless, Randy closed his eyes and went back to sleep.
As dawn broke, the bonfire outside had burned down to embers.
Randy woke up. He hadn't slept well the previous night, not just because Adela clung to him like a koala, but also because of mosquito bites and the dampness in the cave.
Yawning sleepily, Randy got up and woke Adela as well.
He walked out of the cave, pried open the remaining coconuts from the day before, and handed one to Adela for breakfast.
But just then, Adela suddenly stood up, excitedly pointing toward the beach. "Randy, look! What's that?"
Still groggy and not in the mood to talk, Randy saw her excitement and stood up to look.
In the waves not far away, a silver suitcase was floating. The sunlight reflected off the decorations on the suitcase, creating a dazzling glare.
A suitcase had washed up on the shore!
Randy immediately snapped awake, put down the coconut, and ran toward the beach in quick strides.
Taking off his jacket and wearing only his underwear, Randy pushed off with his legs and jumped into the sea. The icy water was bone-chilling, completely dispelling any lingering drowsiness. He swam vigorously toward the suitcase, quickly grabbing it and heading back to shore.
By the time he reached the shore, Adela was already there, helping him drag the suitcase onto the beach.
"It's pretty heavy. Let's open it and see what's inside," Randy said with a smile, wiping the seawater off his body with his shirt.
Adela, equally excited, quickly opened the suitcase. Inside were quite a few clothes, a small nail kit on the side, a water-damaged laptop, and some snacks hidden among the clothes.
"Not bad. Let's take it back. A suitcase is a useful thing," Randy said as he got dressed and dragged the suitcase back to the cave.
Randy found some long sticks and vines to make a simple drying rack. He wrung out the wet clothes and hung them near the bonfire to dry.
Meanwhile, Adela was poking at the muddy ground nearby with a stick.
"What are you doing?" Randy asked.
"This soil is a bit damp. I'm planning to dig up some worms and set traps by the beach. Maybe we can catch some fish," Adela explained.
"Alright then. You stay here and keep an eye on things. Gather some nearby resources while you're at it. I'm going to look for a freshwater source. We can't rely on coconut water forever," Randy instructed before grabbing the stone axe and leaving the cave to search for water.
Just then, a figure appeared in the distance, gradually approaching. Adela saw who it was and introduced her to Randy. "Her name is Melia. She's from the Czech Republic. I'm not sure why she's here."
Melia walked up to them and snorted coldly. "Isabella sent me. Yesterday, we ate your food, so I'm here to return it."
With that, Melia handed over some wild fruits, fish, and oysters she had been carrying. However, her tone was unpleasant, clearly showing her dissatisfaction with the journey.
Randy was a bit surprised. He hadn't expected them to actually return the food. He had already given up hope. It seemed Isabella was true to her word.
Without hesitation, Randy accepted the food. After all, it was rightfully his.
Melia didn't leave immediately. She sneered at Adela and said, "You can't even make the right decisions. What's the point of surviving with this brute? You probably won't even have water to drink. Isabella saved you, and yet you chose to follow him. You're such a traitor!"
Adela wasn't one to back down. "I make my own decisions. I don't need you to tell me what to do."
From Melia's boastful words, Randy caught a key detail—water! Had they found a freshwater source? It seemed that having more people really did make searching easier.
After finishing her taunts, Melia turned and left.
Randy quickly followed Melia's footsteps. Finding a freshwater source was a priority.
Melia walked along the beach while Randy followed at the edge of the forest. The two moved one after the other. Before long, Melia turned and stepped into the forest, weaving left and right. Randy followed her while marking the path to avoid getting lost.
Suddenly, Melia stopped.
The forest was unusually quiet. Randy could even hear the sound of flowing water. Looking up, he saw a freshwater source.
It was a stream flowing down from a higher elevation into a small depression below. The sound of the water rushing down was like the most beautiful music in the world.
Randy didn't move right away. He waited for Melia to collect water and leave before figuring out how to get some himself.
"Who's there?" Melia suddenly turned around and shouted.
Randy froze, startled. He had been so quiet, yet she still noticed him.
"It's you! What are you following me for? Don't come any closer! If you take one more step, I'll go back and tell Isabella..." Alone in the forest with Randy, Melia seemed worried that this violent man might try something inappropriate. She warned him repeatedly, instinctively stepping backward.
"I don't mean any harm. I just want to get some water," Randy said, raising his hands to show he wasn't a threat.
But just then, Melia stepped on the edge of the depression. The ground there was slippery, and she lost her balance, falling backward into the water with a loud splash.
Randy was dumbfounded. He had raised his hands to show he was harmless, so how did she end up falling? He quickly walked to the edge of the water and leaned over to look. To his surprise, the seemingly small water pit was actually ten feet deep, with only a small platform below where someone could stand.
At this point, Melia had climbed onto the small platform in the water pit. She started crying and looked up at Randy, venting her frustration. "What are you staring at? Pull me out! This is all your fault..."
