JONNY RIDGEWOOD
Jonny got his name from living on the only ridge in Thistown. It ran across the Great Park between the Fifteenth and Thirty-fifth Circle between Avenues M and K. There weren’t many houses up there and it was quite easy for Alice to go quietly through the trees, hide her Rasperite uniform under a bush, and creep forward in the dark up to Jonny’s front door.
She was quite nervous. Although she had known Jonny a long time she wasn’t sure how you could really tell if someone was telling the truth when they said they were against Rasper? Or come to that, if they said the opposite? Lies were unknown in Thistown before Rasper, but now they were everywhere. And how would she know what to think about Jonny?
