GETTING READY
It wasn’t long before the Grandstand was almost complete and the Underground held a final meeting. They all crammed into Fortuna’s house so that the goldmine three could attend too. The only ones who seemed to be really important anymore were Fortuna, Jumping Jack Juniper, X-Ray and Tess the Dress. They others were hanging on their every word. Alice and Sam were crushed back against the wall. Everyone except the three and Sam were dressed in bright blue Rasperite uniforms.
“I’d like a final report,” said Fortuna.
Jonny Ridgewood stood up, “Henry Horne is so stupid that he believes every word we say!”
There was a blaze of laughter and it seemed as if the blue uniforms all lit up.
