Kimchi Moon, Adobo HeartChapter 1: The Adobo That Woke the Wolf
**August 15, 2025 – 11:47 PM, Quiapo, Manila** The monsoon was a jealous lover tonight. It slapped the tin roof of **Mara Santos’** food cart like it wanted to drown her *adobo* in tears. Steam rose from the sizzling wok, mixing with the smell of garlic, soy, and vinegar. **Adobo.** Her *lola’s* recipe. Her only weapon against loan sharks and empty pockets. Mara wiped sweat from her brow with the back of her wrist. 21 years old. Single. Broke. But damn, her *adobo* could make a grown man cry. “*Miss, isa pa!*” a jeepney driver shouted, holding up two fingers. Mara flashed her signature smile — the one that got her tips even on typhoon nights. “*Sige po, kuya. Extra rice?*” She ladled the thick, dark sauce over steaming rice. The scent drifted into the alley like a siren song. That’s when the **black Maybach** rolled up. No plates. Tinted windows. Seoul registration sticker on the windshield. The driver’s window slid down with a whisper. **Jae-Hyun “Jae” Kim** leaned out. Silver hair slicked back. Black trench coat open over a white shirt unbuttoned to the sternum. Eyes glowing like liquid mercury under the LED streetlight. “*One plate,*” he said in perfect Tagalog. His voice was low. Korean accent, but the words rolled off his tongue like he’d grown up in Tondo. Mara froze. She’d seen rich Koreans before — K-drama shoots, BGC condos. But this one? He looked like he’d walked out of a *manhwa* and straight into her nightmare. “*Adobo?*” she asked, voice cracking. “*With egg,*” he added. She served. Hands shaking. The plate slid across the counter. Jae took the spoon. One bite. The spoon clattered to the ground. “*f**k,*” he growled. His eyes flashed **silver**. Not a trick of the light. **Actual silver.** Mara stepped back. “*Sir, okay ka lang?*” He didn’t answer. He was staring at her like she was the last meal on earth. The rain stopped. Just like that. The alley went silent. Even the jeepney engines faded. Jae stepped out of the car. 6’4”. Boots hitting the wet pavement. He moved like a predator. Mara’s heart slammed against her ribs. She should run. But her feet wouldn’t move. He stopped an inch from her. Towering. His scent hit her — *kimchi* spice, pine, and something ancient. “*Your adobo…*” he rasped. “*…woke my wolf.*” Before she could scream, his hand was around her throat — not choking, just **claiming**. His thumb brushed her pulse. “*You’re mine,*” he said. “*Now.*” --- ### **The Haze** Mara didn’t know what *Haze* meant. But her body did. Heat exploded between her legs. Her n*****s hardened against her wet tank top. Her knees buckled. Jae caught her. Lifted her like she weighed nothing. Carried her into the **alley behind the cart**. The rain started again. Harder. He pinned her against the brick wall. His mouth crashed into hers. **The first kiss.** Not gentle. *Hungry.* His tongue tasted like *kimchi* and sin. Mara moaned into his mouth. Her hands fisted in his wet hair. He ripped her tank top clean down the middle. Her breasts spilled free. Rain kissed her skin. Jae growled. Dropped to his knees. Mouth closing over one n****e. Sucking. Biting. Mara’s head fell back against the wall. “*Jae—*” “*Say it again,*” he demanded. “*Jae…*” His hand slid under her skirt. Found her soaked. Not from the rain. “*Virgin,*” he said. Not a question. She nodded. Couldn’t speak. He stood. Unbuckled his belt. Freed himself. Mara’s eyes widened. He was **huge**. Thick. Veined. The tip already glistening. “*Look at me,*” he ordered. She did. He lifted her. Her legs wrapped around his waist. The wall scraped her back. “*This will hurt,*” he warned. “*Then it will feel like heaven.*” He pushed in. Slow. Inch by inch. Mara cried out. Pain. Fullness. *Completion.* When he was fully seated, he stilled. Kissed her tears. “*Breathe, mahala.*” Then he moved. Slow at first. Then faster. Harder. The alley echoed with their sounds — Skin on skin. Moans. Growls. Mara’s nails raked down his back. Drew blood. Jae’s rhythm turned feral. He lifted her hips. Hit deeper. “*I’m going to knot you,*” he warned. “*Fill you with my pups.*” Mara’s o****m hit like a typhoon. She screamed his name. Her walls clenched around him. Jae followed. Roared. His knot swelled. Locked them together. Hot spurts flooded her. Again. And again. --- ### **The Mark** They slid to the ground. Still knotted. Rain washing the blood from his back. Jae kissed her neck. “*One more thing,*” he whispered. His fangs sank in. **PAIN.** Then **PLEASURE.** Like lightning and honey. Mara screamed — not in fear, but in *ecstasy*. Her body arched. Her toes curled into the mud. When he pulled back, two perfect puncture wounds glistened on her neck. A silver mark bloomed beneath — a crescent moon entwined with a wolf’s head. **The Mate Bond.** Unbreakable. Eternal. --- ### **The Aftermath** Jae’s phone buzzed. He ignored it. Mara traced the mark. “*What… what was that?*” “*The Haze,*” he said. “*Every 1,000 years, the moon forces unmated Alphas into a 72-hour mating frenzy.*” “*And me?*” “*You’re my fated Luna.*” He stood, still knotted to her. Lifted her into his arms. “*We’re leaving. My jet. Seoul. Now.*” Mara buried her face in his neck. “*My cart—*” “*I’ll buy you a thousand carts.*” --- ### **Cliffhanger** As they vanished into the Maybach, Mara’s phone buzzed on the counter. A text from an unknown number: > **“He’s not your mate. > He’s your curse. > Run, Mara. > Before the triplets kill you both.”** --- **CHAPTER 1 END** **Word Count: 2,012** **Dreame Tags:** #KimchiMoon #AdoboHeart #KoreanAlpha #PinayLuna #WerewolfTriplets #HazeMating #FirstTime #Knotting #Manila2025
