Headley House
Grant Headley, born Grant Gibson was the eldest of six children. He had been brought up in a very poor family and hated it, he vowed to himself and his mother he would make good and never have to scrimp to feed his family. He would have a big house with a bedroom for each one of his children and they would never have to endure the hardship that he did. Watching his mother die young having had six children by the time she was 25, tore at Grant’s heartstrings. His father was never there as he was working all the hours he could to make ends meet. Grant promised his mother on her deathbed he would do better. She had asked, “Grant, don’t stay here, find yourself a better life than this.
