"So when I'm through with everything, I'll send the file to your email to crosscheck and we go straight into planning...Is that okay?" I asked the woman, currently sitting across the table in front of me, legs crossed.
"No problem. Thank you very much Anita. I'm hope I can trust you for this very important day of my life" She said, taking my hands which were laced onto each other in the table, into hers and looking at me with desperate doe eyes.
"Don't worry ma. You won't regret choosing us" I replied with the phrase I've gotten used to saying now.
"So we'll meet again on Saturday for the budget planning? " Her to-be husband who was also seated beside her said, making his way up.
"No problem sir. Thank you very much for your time. I'll see you soon" I replied, also standing up and escorting them out of the office before making my way back to my seat.
I let out a deep sigh once my back hit the chair as I took the view of my all familiar office that I had been occupying for two years ever since I started working in Debraz event planners.
Designed with only white furniture, the office was like every other proffesional looking office except form the little couch I placed at a corner where I occasionally lie on when I'm stressed. The tables, to the chairs, to the tiles; all picked by me as I refurnished the whole place the moment I got the job here.
The table, glossy and almost shiny enough to see my clear reflection was the first thing to catch my attention when I entered the furniture store and is still my best piece of furniture. One chair behind the table with wheels which I sometimes get lost and roll around like a little kid on a merry go round.
In front, two smaller chairs were placed.
The detail was finally finished with a television hanging lazily on the wall, where one of the series I loved most was playing currently.
I took my phone and started checking my feeds on i********: like I always do when I saw that one out of the three academies I sent an inquiry message last night had replied.
I set an appointment to this evening after work to go check it out.
My little rest time was interrupted by a knock on my door.
I dusted the non-existing creaks on my all green office suit before I muttered a small 'come in'.
I almost scoffed as my boss trotted in with her unbearably high heels.I sat upright as she finally managed to get in front of my without loosing her balance and falling flat on her face.
"Good afternoon Miss Adeleye" I greeted her.
I only got a hum in return as the skinny woman took a seat on one of the chairs across me.
My boss and apparently the owner of the company aka; miss trouble maker like the other workers called her is a dark skinned woman. Skinny and very tall.
I'm not one to judge but trust me, she had really bad taste in fashion.
She was currently wearing a blue dress which reached her knee length and looked like a dress inherited from probably the 80's. I also didn't see the point of wearing heels as she was already very tall.
Okay so the point is, I don't like her....
Not even one bit....
"I heard you're the one in charge of the Ogundele's wedding" She finally said in her very tiny and annoying, almost inaudible voice.
"Yes ma...They just left my office not too long ago. We're going to start the planning as soon as we get their budget" I replied.
" Good...As you know, the bride is my very good friend and I'll like the wedding to be perfect and that's in your hands because you're the one in charge"
Yeah I already knew...You didn't have to repeat it. I wanted to say but I just settled at a simple 'Yes'.
"Have you seen the email I sent to you? It consists of the decoration plan of the other event that is going to happen this weekend" Miss trouble maker continued as she absently picked her manicured nails.
"No I haven't... I'll check it when I'm free" I said quickly, already eager for her to leave my office so I can continue with my movie
"Oh yeah, I made some changes by the way.."
"But why? It was already perfect before" I asked astonished by her decision
" Well... I figured it was better to use a lighter shade of pink instead" She replied, putting a stress on the word 'well'
"But... The other shade was the exact one they picked as the colour code. Why did you have to change it? " I said also elongating my first word to annoy her.
I guess I got what I wanted as I saw a faint scowl, almost impossible to catch on to, form on her face before she covered it back with her fake smile.
The sound of metal scraping the tiles ringed in my ears as she stood up from the chair.
"Well...I think it's better. And I don't remember you being the boss here?" She said before she walked out of the room and slammed the door loudly behind her.
Yup...I definitely hate her.

Immediately I finished at work by 5pm sharp, I called an Uber to take me to the address of the academy.
Once I got there, I paid the Uber and got out of the car.
The moment I set my eyes on the large building made of bricks, supposedly a language academy I knew there was no backing down.
