It was early afternoon the next day and Crystal was standing once more in front of her study’s window, staring out. She had awoken late and found the room and bed empty, but on her bedside table there was a sweet roll and underneath, a piece of paper with a heart. Both had made her smile, and as she watched the two men in the training ring with most of the other pack members she couldn’t suppress the feeling of contentment inside her.
