“What are you two doing in a hospital bed of all places?” Lacy said in mock concern. “Sin, she still has a bandage around her head for crying out loud.”
My eyes widened as she continued talking. I tried as hard as I could to push Sin off me. He had dropped his head against my shoulder when the door had been kicked open ruining the mood but had remained in his position over me.
I looked from Lacy to Cameron who couldn’t hide how much this whole scene amused her. The glee in her eyes was apparent and she couldn’t hide how funny she thought it was but as her eyes met mine she stopped laughing abruptly and I watched as tears immediately began to fill her eyes.
