My eyes widened immediately. “You named your baby after me?”
Under normal circumstances, I would have screamed the shocking news out loud but since I was holding Baby Emerson out loud it came out as more of a surprised whisper.
She nodded her head. “You practically risked your life to make sure that he was safe.”
“But-”
“I had a few options but I wasn’t exactly sure about them because they didn't feel right, but your bravery inspired me. I want him to be as brave as you are one day, and I think the first step is for him to be named after you.”
