Lacy had complained the whole time we were walking.
It was truly ridiculous.
And I knew she was doing it on purpose. There was no way she could complain about such a short walk if she wasn’t.
She had to be baiting me and I had been holding back on falling for it. I hadn’t even turned to back to look at her once while she was complaining because if I did and saw the smug smile on her face from knowing she was getting on my nerves, I would lose my cool.
